  • Patent number: 8825470
Abstract: A system and method of providing a response with different language options for a data communication protocol, such as Session Initiation Protocol, are disclosed. For example, data communication is controlled between at least two endpoints. A response code indicative of a condition of the data communication is transmitted to one of the at least two endpoints. The response code is associated with a reason phrase operable to be displayed at the one of the at least two endpoints in a language selected from an option of a plurality of languages.

  • Patent number: 8762541
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods that route a communication link to a proper destination are disclosed. The method may include connecting the communication link to a first destination; requesting a response from the first destination; validating the response from the first destination; and disconnecting the communication link to the first destination if the response from the first destination is not valid. The method may also include connecting the communication link to a second destination; requesting a response from the second destination; and disconnecting the communication link to the second destination if the response from the second destination is not valid. The devices, systems and methods may provide hunt group, call center and conference call features as discussed later herein.

  • Patent number: 8254373
Abstract: A method of managing a communications network, managing secure transactions conducted by digital communications devices over a communications network and computer program product therefore. A Back to Back User Agent (B2BUA), for example, receives numerical input from a networked digital communications device, e.g., a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) device, and determines when and whether the SIP device displays digits entered at the devices. The B2BUA analyzes received digits for an identification (ID) code and selectively couples the SIP devices with a media server capable of providing prompting the SIP devices. In cooperation with the media server, the B2BUA directs replacing sensitive codes (e.g., passwords or Personal Identification Number (PIN)) with placekeepers or suppressing display altogether. After sensitive code input is complete, digit entry display resumes.

  • Patent number: 8009593
Abstract: A telecommunications system, method of managing a telecommunications system and program product therefore. Telecommunications system branches are linked to a network and to each other in a wide area network (WAN). Each branch includes telecommunications devices and a media processor that supports a concurrent port for each local telecommunications device. A controller, e.g., at a data center, selects media processing resources to aggregate system media during conference calls for efficient bandwidth use. The controller may select resources based on user location, Call Admission Control (CAC) policy bandwidth usage, and availability of media resources and media processor ports.

  • Publication number: 20060085350
Abstract: Methods according to preferred embodiments of the present invention include establishing a licensing component on a plurality of servers, where each licensing component has a count of licenses. Each server is in communication with at least one other server on the network. When a server requires more licenses than are available according to its count, it sends a request to the other servers via the network. A server with surplus licenses responds to the request and supplies the requesting server with additional licenses. Further aspects of the invention include systems, software license models, and methods for implementing flexible software license models, which may utilize the aforementioned methods of the present invention.
