  • Patent number: 10225989
Abstract: A feeding apparatus and a feeding method are disclosed. The apparatus and the method feed wrapping material towards an inlet of a chamber. An object in this chamber is to be wrapped with wrapping material injected into the chamber. A wrapping material supplying unit supplies wrapping material from a reservoir towards the inlet such that a loose end area is formed. A drive drives a conveying surface of a wrapping material feeding unit either in a feeding direction or in a cleaning direction. If moved in the feeding direction, the conveying surface conveys the loose end area towards the inlet. If moved in the cleaning direction, the conveying surface cleans the inlet from debris.

  • Publication number: 20170057680
Abstract: A wrapping apparatus and A wrapping method are provide to wrap an object in a chamber into a web of wrapping material. The web is moved from a reservoir outside of the chamber. A tag applicator applies a tag on the web in an application position which is between a wrapping material reservoir and a wrapping material inlet. A tag reader monitors whether or not a tag is conveyed in the chamber along the tag reader. If no tag is detected, an alert is generated that the object is not properly wrapped.

  • Patent number: 9393997
Abstract: A method is provided for moving backwards a combination and an assembly is provided for assisting the backward movement of a combination into an area, which might be surrounded by obstacles. The combination includes a propelled vehicle and an implement. The implement can pivot with respect to the vehicle. The vehicle moves the combination backwards. A pivoting angle sensor on board of the combination measures the pivoting angle of the implement with respect to the vehicle. A distance sensor on board of the implement measures the distance to a border of the area. A path sensor on board of the implement measures the length of a path along which the implement is moved. A computer on board of the implement calculates a required change of the travelling direction of the vehicle by using the pivoting angle, the path length, and the measured distance. A signal indicative of the required change is transmitted to an output unit.

  • Publication number: 20160007540
Abstract: A bale forming apparatus and method are disclosed. When operated in a bale forming mode, the apparatus forms a round bale in a baling chamber arrangement with a circumferential wall between two sidewalls. A movable chamber part is pivotally mounted at a fixed chamber part. Several conveying units convey the bale along the circumferential wall. The apparatus can be transferred into a bale ejecting mode. The movable chamber part is pivoted away from the fixed chamber part. One conveying unit is mounted at one chamber part and is adjacent to the other chamber part. In a bale forming mode, the adjacent conveying unit contributes to convey the loose material in the chamber arrangement. In the bale forming position, the adjacent conveying unit engages into a receiving aperture in the other chamber part. The adjacent conveying unit can be pivoted away from the other chamber part and out of the receiving aperture.
