  • Publication number: 20160142315
Abstract: A plurality of hash values is obtained by using a plurality of hash functions based on identification information of input data. A forwarding of the input data is controlled with reference to forwarding information based on any one of the hash values. A selection of a hash value to be used for the reference based on hash management information is controlled. The hash management information indicates whether or not each of the hash values is in-use to refer the forwarding information for each hash function.

  • Patent number: 9166815
Abstract: A ring connection apparatus according to one embodiment is provided with: a frame receiver that receives frames to be transmitted to one of the plurality of ring networks from each of the plurality of networks; and a frame transmitter that transmits each of frames, a passing frame to be transmitted from a device to another device inside said one ring network and a crossing frame to be transmitted to a device in said one ring network from a device in another ring network different from said one ring network, to said one ring network within the range of a band, which is separately determined in advance.

  • Patent number: 8098674
Abstract: A queue selection method for controlling selection of many queues without increasing the circuit scale is provided. Queues are organized into groups, and each group is created as a tree structure with a plurality of steps, and a queue is selected by selecting a group of each step. By this, even if the number of queues is enormous, it is sufficient to provide registers for managing the presence of packets only for the number of groups selected in each step, and it becomes unnecessary to provide registers for all of the queues, so an increase of registers can be suppressed even if the number of queues increases. It is preferable that group selection in each step is performed in parallel independently from pipeline processing so as to maintain high-speed operation.

  • Patent number: 8064456
Abstract: A frame relay apparatus includes an acquisition unit for acquiring a frame from an input port connected to a first subnet, a setting unit for setting an output port corresponding to a destination of the frame acquired by the acquisition unit, an assignment unit for assigning, to the frame, a flag indicating whether the output port of the frame set by the setting unit is connected to a second subnet, and a registration unit for storing the flag assigned to the frame by the assigning unit as well as a source address of the frame acquired by the acquisition unit and a port number in a learning table for storing a correspondence between an address and the port number.

  • Patent number: 7864677
Abstract: A frame input/output unit allows a frame to pass according to directions output by a flag judging unit while consuming resources. A resource managing unit manages amounts of resources supplied and consumed. A management information storage unit stores passing information indicating policers that have passed frames during each period and management information including flag information on skip flags and the like. A flag updating unit catalogs a resource surplus flag and a supply filled flag at the end of a previous period and a skip flag that indicates whether a self-policer skips consuming resources in the following period based on the passing information in the previous period and the current period. The flag judging unit refers to a latest skip flag and judges the presence or absence of frame passing in the following period.
