Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method of performing an electronic search. The computer-implemented method includes receiving, using a processor, a composite electronic image including a plurality of electronically identifiable objects, wherein the composite electronic image is associated with a user. The processor is used to segment the composite electronic image into sub-images by providing at least one of the sub-images for each of the plurality of electronically identifiable objects. For each of the sub-images, the processor is used to perform personalized sub-image search operations. The personalized sub-image search operations include selecting a sub-image-to-be-searched from among the sub-images; associating the sub-image-to-be-searched with personalized metadata of the user; and searching, based at least in part on the personalized metadata of the user, a database to return a set of search images.

  • Publication number: 20110047021
Abstract: A minimum recommended supply line (RSL) and a maximum RSL during a time period are determined. The minimum RSL is based on a minimum number of a product that is recommended to be in inventory for the time period. The maximum RSL is based on a maximum number of the product that is recommended to be in inventory for the time period. A number of the product is purchased equal to or greater than the minimum RSL minus a number of the product already in inventory at a beginning of the time period. A price-protected number of the product is determined as a smaller of the maximum RSL and a number of the product in inventory at an end of the time period. A rebate amount is determined as equal to the price-protected number multiplied by a decrease in price of the product from the time period to a next time period.

  • Patent number: 7792694
Abstract: A method, system, and storage medium for assessing and implementing an organizational transformation. The method includes identifying at least one process area for each management area targeted for assessment and evaluating at least one solution for the at least one process area. A pairing of a solution to a process area results in a functional area. The method further includes performing orthogonal assessments for each functional area. The orthogonal assessments include determining a need for organizational transformation by ranking each of the functional areas according to a perceived need for organizational transformation, evaluating each of the at least one process area against each of the at least one corresponding solution and calculating any performance gaps identified based upon the evaluating, and evaluating an implementation capability for each of the at least one solution. The method also includes presenting results of each of the orthogonal assessments.
