  • Patent number: 6262108
Abstract: The cromoglycic acid compound of the formula (I) has an antirheumatic action, an antiinflammatory action and an immunomodulating action. This compound is effective for the inhibition of the symptoms of chronic rheumatoid arthritis and is associated with fewer side effects. Therefore, the antirheumatic agent of the present invention can be used beneficially for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, this compound has anti-type I and anti-type IV allergic activities. Therefore, the compound can be used beneficially mainly for the treatment of allergic dermatitis, in which a type IV allergic reaction is involved, such as contact dermatitis, in which a type IV allergic reaction is involved, atopic dermatitis, in which type I and type IV allergic reactions are involved and the like.

  • Patent number: 6201011
Abstract: A therapeutic agent for allergic dermatitis caused by type IV allergic reaction, which contains diethyl L-lysylcromoglycate of the formula: or a nontoxic salt thereof as an active ingredient. This therapeutic agent for allergic dermatitis is effective for the treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by type IV allergic reaction, such as contact dermatitis mainly induced by type IV allergic reaction and atopic dermatitis induced by type I and type IV allergic reactions.

  • Patent number: 4758095
Abstract: A dual shaft pan mixer comprises a mixing vessel (1) having a first and a second pan section (3 and 4), a pair of paddle assemblies (10) having drive shafts (13) which are disposed horizontally and in paralllel relationship with each other within the mixing vessel (1) and adapted to rotate in mutually opposite directions, and a drive source (20) for synchronously driving the pair of paddle assemblies (10). The mixing vessel (1) includes a substantially triangular space (22) below an area intermediate the first and the second pan section and displaced out of the loci of rotation of the paddle assemblies (10), and also includes a discharge port (5) which is disposed adjacent to the space (22). The mixer also comprises a rod-shaped vibration generator (30) disposed within the space (22) and extending in a direction parallel to the drive shafts (13).

  • Patent number: 4679427
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the viscosity of a viscous substance as a sample to be measured has a tuning fork type vibrator having two vibrating plates opposing to each other at a distance. These vibrating plates are vibrated at equal frequencies in inversed phase relation to each other by means of a variable vibration generator. The vibrating members have thin plate-like sensitive members provided at their respective lower ends. An amplitude obtained by immersing the sensitive members in a viscous substance and vibrating the former is detected by a pickup device to detect a change in amplitude according to the viscous resistance of the viscous substance thereby to measure the viscosity thereof. The viscosity measuring apparatus has means for regulating the frequency of the vibration generator so as to vary the frequency according to need.

  • Patent number: 4148588
Abstract: A forced kneading concrete mixer including a or a plurality of mixing members such as paddles or blades disposed at fixed positions within a rotating pan or cylindrical vessel. The mixing member is carried by a support which is movably mounted on a stationary member and which is subjected to a vertical oscillation having an amplitude of from 2 to 5 mm and a frequency of 3500 to 6000 cycles per minute. A fluid charge comprising ingredients to form concrete is mulled and oscillated by the cooperation of the vessel and the mixing member. When subjected to the oscillation, the individual particles of cement contained in the oscillating fluid charge are dispersed and acquire moisture on their surface. The load on the mixing member is reduced inasmuch as the consistency is increased due to a temporary tendency of the charge to fluidize.
