  • Patent number: 8144231
Abstract: During framing, an image sensor captures an image of a subject and produces an image signal. The image signal is chronologically retrieved and sent to plural signal processing sections. The signal processing sections concurrently produce frames simulated based on different shooting conditions or different shooting modes. Images of frames are displayed on a screen of a display side by side. When a shutter button is pressed after selecting a desired image, an image is captured for recording under the shooting condition or the shooting mode corresponding to the selected image.

  • Patent number: 7493290
Abstract: Image data stored in a memory of a portable communication apparatus is read by an adapter device in response to that the portable communication apparatus is connected to a connector of the adapter device. Subsequently, the portable communication apparatus starts communicating with a charging server and, simultaneously, a print image selection screen is displayed on a LCD. A user selects images and the number of prints of each image in the print image selection screen. Printing is executed when a print button is operated after the user finished selecting the images and the number of prints of each image. After printing is completed, the communication from the portable communication apparatus to the charging server is cut off. The charging server charges telecommunication charge to the portable communication apparatus based on the duration of communication with the charging server.

  • Patent number: 7450164
Abstract: Upon the activation of a system, an activation program that at the least is required for activating an image pickup unit is fetched to a buffer memory and is executed to enable photographing. Thus, when a release button is manipulated, image data obtained by the image pickup unit is stored in the buffer memory, and thereafter the remaining activation programs, including a program for obtaining information associated with a memory card, are fetched to the buffer memory and are executed. Since, prior to other processes such as the acquisition of information associated with the memory card, only the process for activating the image pickup unit is performed to quickly activate the system and enable photographing, the time required for activation from when power is switched on until photographing is enabled is shortened, and the probability that a photo opportunity will be lost is reduced considerably.

  • Publication number: 20070014564
Abstract: The present invention provides a photographic apparatus comprising a control device which controls photography preparations when a release button is halfway-pressed and controls photography when the release button is fully-pressed, wherein the control device also controls photography upon deactivation of halfway-pressing of the release button. According to the photographic apparatus of the present invention, photography is performed not only when the release button is first halfway-pressed and then fully-pressed, but also when halfway-pressing is deactivated. This ensures even those unfamiliar with operation to perform photography without wasting photograph opportunities.

  • Publication number: 20050195308
Abstract: An image pick-up system is structured so as to include a main body, a display section, a section which detects posture of the main body, and a display switching section. The display section performs through-image display, in which image data taken-in at a given frame rate is displayed continuously, and playback display of a still image after photographing. The detecting section detects whether or not the main body is at a posture within a range for confirming image playback. Display is switched by the display switching section such that, when the detecting section detects that the main body is at a posture within the confirmation range, a playback image is displayed at the display section, and when the detecting section detects that the main body is not at a posture within the confirmation range, through-images are displayed at the display section.
