  • Patent number: 5483271
Abstract: The light-transmitting electrode is arranged in correspondence with a pixel, and the photoconductive element and the capacitor element which are arranged on one surface of the light-transmitting electrode and connected in series with each other through the light-transmitting electrode are arranged on a substrate. The plurality of photoelectric converters each of which can apply a voltage across the corresponding photoconductive and capacitor elements are two-dimentionally arranged, and the photoconductive elements and the capacitor elements are commonly connected to each other. A voltage is applied across the photoconductive elements and the capacitor elements.

  • Patent number: 5276486
Abstract: Without using corona charge, a predetermined voltage is applied to all of the island-like electrodes provided on a front surface of an electrostatic latent image forming member, which is then exposed by exposing device from a rear surface thereof. Consequently, a contrast potential is generated between the island-like electrodes two-dimensionally arranged, thereby forming an electrostatic latent image. By setting the exposing light-emitting diode array inside the electrostatic latent image forming member, the light irradiating position and the developed position can be made close to each other. Therefore, the latent image can be developed by toner at the maximum contrast potential of the electrostatic latent image on the image forming member. The toner image is then transferred and fixed on an image formation medium.

  • Patent number: 4644411
Abstract: An image sensor according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a plurality of linearly arranged line sensors each including a plurality of linearly arranged picture elements acting as photodetecting elements, wherein the photodetecting elements positioned at the ends of the linear arrangement are smaller in width in the direction of the linear arrangement than the photodetecting elements positioned in the central portion.

  • Patent number: 4464669
Abstract: High speed printing can be attained without loss of printing quality. The amount of energy to be supplied to each heating resistor in the next printing cycle is determined by the amount of energy which was supplied to it during the previous cycle of printing, as well as by the density of picture data to be printed. Other information which may be taken into account in adjusting the amount of energy supplied to the heating resistors includes the amount of energy previously supplied to adjacent resistors and the duration of the printing cycle (where this is variable).

  • Patent number: 4250375
Abstract: A thermal recording head which comprises a plurality of heat-generating resistors; an insulation substrate on which a plurality of separate conductors are mounted to be connected to the heat-generating resistors directly or with diodes interposed therebetween; and a 3-ply conductor holder formed of an insulation sheet, an assembly of common conductors mounted on the insulation sheet at a prescribed interval and an insulation layer deposited on the common conductors with a thickness of 2 to 20 microns, and wherein the insulation layer has openings arranged at a prescribed interval; and the insulation substrate is laminated with the conductor holder with the common conductors connected to the separate conductors.

  • Patent number: 4141018
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head and a drive circuit for driving the recording head. The recording head includes a plurality of main blocks arranged successively in a given direction and a plurality of first and second conductors. The main blocks each include first and second unit recording blocks arranged in the given direction. Each unit recording block includes n recording units arranged in the given direction. One ends of the n recording units are collectively connected to the selection terminal of each unit recording block. The first conductors each connect the other end of the ith (n.gtoreq.i.gtoreq.1) of the first recording block with the other end of the (n+1-i)th recording unit of the second unit recording block. The second conductors connect the corresponding first conductors in the respective main blocks and bears thereon signals to be recorded.
