  • Publication number: 20180011560
Abstract: An electronic pen indicates a position to a position detection module by transmitting and receiving signals with the position detection module. A cylindrical casing, a core member, a writing-pressure detector, and a writing-pressure transmission member are accommodated in a hollow section of a cylindrical casing. Provided is a pressing member that applies, based on an operation by a user, a displacement force to the core member from a first end, which is opposite to a second end serving a pen tip, to the second end serving as the pen tip. The writing-pressure transmission member includes a protrusion which, in operation, transmits a writing pressure, which has been exerted on the core member fitted in a fit-in portion included in the writing-pressure transmission member, to the writing-pressure detector. The pressing member is configured to apply a displacement force to the core member via the writing-pressure transmission member without applying an axial force to the writing-pressure detector.

  • Publication number: 20160154486
Abstract: A position indicator includes: a core body including a tip part that protrudes from one opening of a casing in an axial center direction and a rear end part located on a side of the core body opposite to the tip part; a pressure detector that is housed in the casing in a state in which the pressure detector is pressable by the rear end part, and, in operation, detects a writing pressure applied to the tip part based on a pressure received from the rear end part; a retaining member that retains the pressure detector at a predetermined position in the axial center direction in the casing; and an elastic member that is provided between the pressure detector and the core body and that applies a pressure in a direction from the rear end part toward the tip part to the core body.

  • Publication number: 20160018912
Abstract: A position pointing device includes a pressure detecting part which detects a pressure applied in an axial direction of a core body. The core body includes: a leading end part formed from an elastic material; a pedestal part which is formed from a material harder than the material of the leading end part and is joined to the leading end part; and a core body main body part which is joined to the pedestal part, is smaller than the pedestal part in thickness in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction, and is formed from a hard material. The core body is housed in a casing and is movable in the axial direction, such that the leading end part is exposed via an opening of the casing, and a pressure exerted on the leading end part in the axial direction is transmitted to the pressure detecting part.
