  • Patent number: 5685229
Abstract: A railway car body structure is provided which includes an underframe, first and second side structural units and a roof structural unit. Each of the first and second side structural units and the roof structural unit include at least one plate member, each plate members being formed by joining two surface materials, a core material and binding materials through metal-to-metal brazing. The first side structural units is joined to the roof structural unit by a first extruded element, while the second side structural unit is joined to the roof structural unit by a second extruded element. With this construction an extremely strong, yet light, railway car body structure is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5480729
Abstract: A honeycomb panel having a honeycomb core interposed between two face plates, and inserts which are exposed to an opening formed through the panel. A desired member is bonded to the panel through the inserts and the face plates which are bonded together. The inserts are disposed in selected honeycomb cells of the honeycomb core when the honeycomb core is assembled with the face plates, or the inserts are inserted into the selected honeycomb cells which are open to the opening or a preliminary hole formed before the opening is cut. Alternatively, the inserts are positioned relative to the face plates before the honeycomb core members are disposed relative to the inserts. The honeycomb panel may be produced by various methods disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5433151
Abstract: A railway car body structure running at a high speed and a production method thereof. To reduce vibration and noise and to prevent influences of outdoor pressure variations on passengers in the case of a high-speed railway car, the weight of the car body structure must be reduced and its pressure resistance must be improved. Each of the side units, roof unit and end unit and floor plates of an underframe of the car body structure includes plate members obtained by joining two surface materials, a core material and binding materials through metal-to-metal bonding. The sheet thickness of the surface material on an outdoor side is greater than a sheet thickness of the surface material on an indoor side. The plate members are constructed as a block, and a plurality of blocks are joined so as to form the side units, roof unit or the floor plates of the underframe.

  • Patent number: 4542350
Abstract: A monolithic integrated circuit device is formed on a substrate and made up of an AC negative feedback circuit for a high frequency amplifier circuit. The AC negative feedback circuit includes a semiconductor impedance element and connected to an external terminal on the substrate, and variable control means for adjusting an amount of the AC feedback of the high frequency amplifier circuit. As the semiconductor impedance element is used the junction capacitance of a diode under negative bias, diffusion capacitance between the base and emitter electrodes or between the base and collector electrodes of a transistor or a differentiated resistance of a diode.
