  • Patent number: 7070424
Abstract: In a connector, a contact group has a signal contact and a ground contact, and the signal contact is arranged adjacently to both sides of the ground contact. Each of the signal contact and the ground contact has a contact portion connected to a partner side contact and also has a terminal portion connected to a connecting object. The pitch intervals between the terminal portions of the respective contacts of the contact group are equally set. The contact portion of the signal contact approaches the contact portion of the ground contact. Thus, the pitch interval between the contact portions of the adjacent signal contacts is widened with respect to the pitch interval between the terminal portions.

  • Patent number: 7071654
Abstract: When a battery is in standby mode, a microcomputer switches to sleep mode if no charging/discharging current is supplied within a predetermined time, and controls a timer so as to start measuring the standby time of the battery. When a charging/discharging current is supplied, the microcomputer switches to wake-up mode, and controls the timer so as to stop measuring the standby time. Then, the microcomputer reads the measured standby time. Based on the read standby time, the microcomputer calculates the correction value to correct the currently stored remaining battery capacity value.

  • Patent number: 7031662
Abstract: In a communication terminal that is capable of carrying out communications based on a plurality of communication standards, for example, a cellular phone, information representing a reception carrier frequency of a wireless channel being received by a cellular-phone functional block is output from a CPU to a contactless-IC-card-reader/writer functional block. In the contactless-IC-card-reader/writer functional block, a controller controls a switching circuit to switch a transmission carrier frequency being used so that harmonic components of an electromagnetic wave radiated from a coil antenna will not work as an electromagnetic-interference wave that affects reception sensitivity of the cellular-phone functional block.

  • Patent number: 6932610
Abstract: A process for producing an artificial bone model in accordance with the selective laser sintering process which comprises extending a powder material for sintering comprising 30 to 90 parts by weight of powder of a synthetic resin and 10 to 70% by weight of an inorganic filler to form a thin layer and irradiating a portion of the thin layer having the shape formed based on tomograpic information of a natural bone with laser light so that the irradiated portion of the thin layer is sintered. The extension of the powder material for sintering to form the thin layer and the irradiation of the thin layer with laser light for sintering are conducted repeatedly. The artificial bone model can three-dimensionally reproduce steric shapes of natural bones such as bones in the human body precisely and accurately and exhibits the property for cutting closely similar to that of natural bones. The artificial bone model can be used for educational training or for studying a plan for curing before a surgical operation.

  • Patent number: 6884116
Abstract: A shell (30) included in an electrical connector has a top wall (40) having a first front end (40a), a bottom wall (42) having a second front end (42a1, 42b1), and side walls (44) having third front ends (44a), respectively. The first to the third front ends (40a, 42a1, 42b1, 44a) constitutes a front edge (31) of the shell (30), the front edge (31) defining an opening for receiving another shell of a mating connector inserted along an insertion direction into the shell (30). From the front edge (31), a pair of front mounting posts (33) continues rearwardly in the insertion direction and extends downwardly in a vertical direction below the bottom wall (42). Adjacent to a rear end (32) opposite to the front edge (31), a pair of rear mounting posts (34) is provided. Each of the rear mounting posts (34) is spaced from the corresponding front mounting post (33) in the insertion direction and extends downwardly in the vertical direction below a plane on which the bottom wall (42) is laid.
