  • Patent number: 11984137
Abstract: A two-way communication support system supports two-way communication between a second terminal device which receives, from a first terminal device, first state data changed according to the state of a first user present on a side where the first terminal device is arranged and which outputs an image and a voice indicated by the first state data and the first terminal device. The two-way communication support system includes a state identifier and an output controller. The state identifier analyzes second state data changed according to the state of a second user present on a side where the second terminal device is arranged so as to identify the state of the second user. The output controller causes the first terminal device to output analysis information indicating a result of the identification of the state of the second user performed by the state identifier.

  • Patent number: 9727166
Abstract: A touch panel controller is equipped with a control unit that outputs a decimation signal to a drive line driving circuit when touch response magnitude data is a designated value or greater, or in other words, when the distance between a touch panel and a stylus pen is closer than a designated value. Thus, it is possible to realize a touch panel system able to moderate the amount of power consumed when synchronizing drive timings between the pen and the touch panel controller that drives the touch panel, and thereby operate with low power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20170192549
Abstract: Driving of a stylus pen is satisfactorily controlled even when the touch panel controller and the stylus pen are not connected through a wire. A touch panel (2) is driven by a touch panel controller (4), and is given with an input operation from a stylus pen (3) that is able to transmit and receive information to and from the touch panel controller (4) via wireless communication. The touch panel controller (4) includes a timing generator (14) that generates a synchronization signal to synchronize drive timing of the stylus pen (3) and drive timing of the touch panel (2) with each other, and an information signal generating unit (19) that generates an information signal representing a drive state of the touch panel (2). The information signal is transferred from the touch panel controller (4) to the stylus pen (3) subsequent to the synchronization signal.

  • Publication number: 20170123568
Abstract: Sensitivity of a stylus pen to a touch panel is stabilized. The stylus pen (3) includes a pen tip (31) which is provided to be movable in an axial direction in accordance with a writing pressure and a writing pressure sensor (31d) which generates a signal corresponding to the amount of movement of the pen tip (31). A threshold updating circuit (40) is provided to update a threshold for determining, by the writing pressure sensor (31d), presence or absence of the writing pressure on the basis of a distance between the stylus pen (3) and the touch panel.

  • Publication number: 20170108984
Abstract: Provided is a touch panel system capable of minimizing the possibility of a stylus pen failing to detect a synchronization signal. A touch panel controller (4) in the touch panel system generates a preparation signal including a high state and a low state that acts as a reference for adjusting the reception sensitivity of the synchronization signal in the stylus pen, and outputs the preparation signal to the touch panel earlier than the timing at which to output the synchronization signal to the touch panel.

  • Patent number: 9501091
Abstract: In a touch panel system of the present invention, a touch pen is configured of an electronic pen that signals can be input into and output from. A touch panel controller includes a synchronization signal transmission unit that transmits a synchronization signal to the electronic pen during synchronization signal transmission periods immediately before each of a first signal line drive period and a second signal line drive period. The synchronization signal transmission unit transmits the synchronization signal of which the waveform is configured of a Manchester-coded pseudorandom sequence having periodicity to the electronic pen during the synchronization signal transmission period. The electronic pen includes a synchronization signal detecting unit that detects the synchronization signal.

  • Patent number: 8928574
Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display device wherein it is possible to specifically prevent the pseudo contouring of an area in which an image having a large motion vector is displayed, such as a telop area. A telop area (R1) (an example of a component image area) in which the motion vector is set in advance and which has a magnitude greater than or equal to a predetermined magnitude is detected. The intermittent lighting timing of an illumination portion is controlled in a manner such that the turn-off period having a predetermined length is set between the point in which the detected telop area (R1) writes a video signal to a liquid crystal element and the point in which the liquid crystal element responds.
