  • Patent number: 11942031
Abstract: A current limiting circuit is a circuit that receives a video signal for a display panel including pixels, and limits current consumption of the pixels. The current limiting circuit includes: a first gain calculation circuit that calculates a first gain for multiplying with the video signal, based on first power consumption that is power consumption of the pixels corresponding to the video signal; a second gain calculation circuit that calculates a second gain for multiplying with the video signal, based on the first power consumption and a rate of change of the first power consumption; a gain selection circuit that selects one of the first gain and the second gain as a gain by which the video signal is to be multiplied; and a gain multiplication circuit that multiplies the video signal by the gain.

  • Publication number: 20160295271
Abstract: A clock information correction unit 15 is provided to correct the broadcast start/end times of an electronic program guide (EPG) generated in reference to the standard time. To perform this correction, the clock information correction unit 15 uses the standard time, which is the Greenwich Mean Time received by a standard time reception unit 11 of a broadcast reception device 100, and the clock time counted by an internal clock 21 of a head unit 200. The aforementioned correction is made based not on the time difference between time zones, but on the clock time of the internal clock 21. Thereby, without time zone setting based on GPS positional information or selection by a user operation, the broadcast start/end times of the EPG can be adjusted to correspond to the time of the internal clock.

  • Patent number: 6954187
Abstract: A method for driving an address-display separated-type AC (Alternating Current) PDP (Plasma Display Panel) is provided which is capable of having sequentially and continuously wall charges be formed sufficiently on a scanning electrode and sustaining electrode even when a width of a scanning pulse is shortened. Driving operations of a scanning driver and sustaining driver for the scanning electrode and the sustaining electrode during a pre-discharge period are the same as those employed in the conventional method. Driving operations for the scanning electrode during a scanning period are also the same as those in the conventional method except following. At ending time of a period during which a scanning pulse is applied to the scanning electrode, a potential difference obtained by superimposing a writing wall charge forming pulse on a sustaining pulse is applied for 3 ?sec to 5 ?sec.
