  • Publication number: 20080105294
Abstract: Constituent materials of a CIS type thin-film photovoltaic module are made separable and recyclable without reducing output characteristics and durability. A thin-film photovoltaic module 1 having a substrate structure comprising a CIS type thin-film solar cell device 2 and a cover glass 4 bonded to the light incidence side of the device 2 with a thermally crosslinked EVA resin or the like 3 as an adhesive is made to include a non-adhesive plastic (e.g., polyester) resin 6 sandwiched between the solar cell device 2 and the EVA resin 3. Thus, the constituent materials are separable. Through later simple separation steps, the constituent materials are separated and recovered.

  • Patent number: 7163760
Abstract: A bypass plate and an intermediate plate are interposed between a stack body and a negative electrode terminal of a fuel cell stack. An oxygen-containing gas passage extends through the bypass plate and the stack body. The intermediate plate has a small opening. The opening has a cross sectional area smaller than a cross sectional area of the oxygen-containing gas supply passage. The opening is formed by an extension extending into the oxygen-containing gas supply passage. The extension removes water in the oxygen-containing gas, and discharges the water into a bypass flow passage.

  • Publication number: 20060197276
Abstract: A sheet feeder (20) includes a tray (30) for receiving a recording sheet (P). A feed roller (41) is disposed above the tray (30) and feeds the sheet (P). A bottom plate (50) is at a downstream end of the tray (30) and moves up and down for pressingly contacting a leading end of the sheet (P) with the roller (41). A position changer (60) moves the bottom plate (50) between a first position (S1) where the bottom plate (50) contacts the roller (41), and a second position (S2) where the bottom plate (50) is spaced from the roller (41). An elevating mechanism (70) moves the bottom plate (50) set to the second position up and down each time the sheet (P) is fed and brings the leading end of the sheet (P) into contact with the roller (41) when the bottom plate (50) is moved.

  • Patent number: 6809357
Abstract: A TFT array structure formed on a glass substrate employs an aluminum alloy for the wiring patterns of signal lines and scanning lines. Besides, on the glass substrate, a terminal structure is formed near the terminating end of each of the wiring patterns. The terminal structure includes a terminal pattern which is formed of the same MoW layer as that of capacitor lines of the TFT array structure. Thus, the TFT array structure holds a repair facility equal to that of the prior art while realizing the enhancement of an operating speed and the reduction of image noise owing to the lowered resistances of the scanning lines and signal lines.

  • Patent number: 6747641
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device that achieves display by using an active-matrix liquid crystal panel, for a predetermined time after the driving of the liquid crystal panel is stopped, a voltage is kept applied only to the opposing electrode through which all the liquid crystal layers constituting the liquid crystal panel are driven. This helps shorten the time required for the electric charge accumulated in the liquid crystal panel to be discharged and thereby prevent degradation of display quality and deterioration of the liquid crystal panel through simple control.

  • Patent number: 6696687
Abstract: A radiation detector has a plurality of charge conversion elements which are laid out in a matrix and convert incoming radiation into charges, a plurality of capacitors for storing the charges generated by the charge conversion elements, and charge read elements for reading the charges stored in the capacitors. Signals other than signals originated to charges stored in the capacitors, which are produced upon, e.g., turning on/off the charge read elements are canceled by adjustment means, thus improving the S/N ratio.

  • Patent number: 6416899
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel cell stack comprising fuel cell units and first and second separators which are alternately stacked with each other. Wedge members are integrally inserted, over the plurality of fuel cell units, into communication holes of a fuel gas supply passage, an oxygen-containing gas supply passage, and a cooling water supply passage, as well as a fuel gas discharge passage, an oxygen-containing gas discharge passage, and a cooling water discharge passage. A fluid is uniformly delivered to each of the fuel cell units by the aid of the wedge members. Accordingly, the fluid of any one of a fuel gas, an oxygen-containing gas, and a cooling medium is uniformly delivered to each of the fuel cell units. Further, it is possible to simplify the arrangement of the fuel cell stack.
