  • Patent number: 6808050
Abstract: The invention relates to a brake disc for a rail vehicle, with which a hub body (16) and a brake ring (12) are connected to one another such that with braking procedures a thermal expansion of the brake ring (12) relative to the hub body (16) is possible. At the same time screws (15) pass through axially aligned openings in a hub flange (14) arranged on the hub body (16) and a brake ring flange (13) arranged on the brake ring (12). According to the invention the screws at their end exiting the brake ring flange (13), by way of a retaining element which, for example, may be a retaining lug (17) formed integrally on the hub body (16) or a retaining bracket fixed on the hub body, may be fixed relative to the hub body (16) so that an axially parallel position of the screws (15) and a centering of the brake ring (12) is ensured even with thermal expansions.

The mounting of the screws (15) is effected indirectly via an axially displaceably movable sleeve (20) or by a retaining braket engaging into a groove on the hub.

  • Patent number: 5429214
Abstract: A ventilated brake disc for rail vehicles of a divided or undivided design is provided. The brake disc comprises a brake ring with ribs connected to the hub. Projections for fastening the brake ring to the hub are connected to selected ribs having recesses. In another design the brake ring, within its neutral range, is provided with projections arranged opposite one another at a dividing groove, each projection having a respective tangential bore for receiving a screw for fastening the sections of the divided brake ring, whereby a portion of the ribs in the area of the projections extends radially inwardly and radially outwardly from the projections. In another design first projections have respective first tangential bores aligned with one another for receiving a first screw are positioned opposite one another at a dividing groove of the brake ring in the vicinity of its inner circumference.

  • Patent number: 5360087
Abstract: An assembled brake disc for a disc brake with partial lining is comprised of two components in the form of a brake ring and a hub and at least one dog and at least one corresponding groove. The components are connected to one another by the dog extending into the groove. The dog has outer contact surfaces resting at mating inner side walls of the groove. At least one of the outer contact surfaces and a corresponding one of the mating inner side walls are slanted relative to an axial direction of the brake disc. The brake disc further comprises screws extending parallel to the axial direction for pressing the outer contact surfaces against the mating inner side walls.

  • Patent number: 5297660
Abstract: A brake ring/hub connection via clamping notches for rail vehicles is provided. When a clamping strip is pressed into a clamping notch, the smallest cross-sectional configuration of the hub at the clamping notch is greater than the cross-sectional configuration of the clamping arms in that region thereof that is exposed to the greatest stress, and the cross-sectional configuration of the hub beyond the clamping arms is at least somewhat smaller than the cross-sectional configuration of the hub in the vicinity of the base of the clamping notch.
