  • Patent number: 5052646
Abstract: Hanging folder rods are flat strips having notches or hooks at their ends for riding on the rails of a file support frame. Notch depth is extended by long tips at the ends of the strip. By contouring the notches, extension, and end corners of the strips, the strips can be manufactured as a nested series with little void space between them. Strips nest, in one embodiment, with the top edge of one strip adjacent the bottom edge of another strip or, in another embodiment, with the bottom edges of two strips adjacent to each other. Manufacturing economy is effected by forming, for example, by stamping, the rods in the nested condition.

  • Patent number: 5002191
Abstract: A knockdown file cart which can be easily assembled without tools or fasteners, and which is rigid when assembled. The cart has two upstanding side panels with metal strips at their edges which form troughs. Two end panels have inwardly projecting flanges which can be slid down in the troughs and releasable locked in place by a spring tab on each flange that projects into a slot in the strips. A bottom panel can be inserted to form the bottom of the cart and further improve its rigidity.

  • Patent number: 4768893
Abstract: A device for clamping and guiding a continuous sheet paper supply to a printer utilizes an inclined frame that supports pairs of rods. The paper from separate supplies passes between the rods. If not in use, the end of the paper is clamped at a convenient location with respect to the printer by the gravitational force of the upper roller on the inclined plane against the paper sheet and the lower roller. If the paper is connected to the printer, the rollers surrounding the paper may rotate to allow easy feeding to the printer.

  • Patent number: 4576328
Abstract: A hanging partition folder with a generally conventional structure has pivotal hanging devices at the outer corners thereof. These corners also have a cut off shape to permit the pivotal movement of the hanging devices between a retracted position in which they are substantially flush with the folder and an extended position in which they project from the folder. In the extended position, a hook portion of each hanging device is adapted to make contact with the rails of a suspension file system.

  • Patent number: 4568052
Abstract: Each arm of a first pair of arms is pivotally connected at spaced-apart pivot locations to a first clamp bracket and to an adjustment bracket, respectively, and each arm of a second pair of arms is pivotally connected at spaced-apart locations to a second clamp bracket and to the adjustment bracket, respectively. A first control is engageable with an arm of the first pair for selectively enabling and preventing pivoting movement thereof, and a second control is engageable with an arm of the second pair for selectively enabling and preventing pivoting movement thereof. When the first and second controls both enable the respective pivoting movements, the second clamp bracket can be moved to a desired position, and, when the first and second controls both prevent the respective pivoting movement, the second clamp bracket retains its position.
