  • Patent number: 5290366
Abstract: A laminated solar module has two spatially-separated electrical terminals with a simple cabling of a plurality of such solar modules to one another. The solar modules are weather proof. A respective housing is located at each electrical terminal. A protective diode is integrated in at least one housing as a normally-non-conducting diode bridging solar cells that are arranged in the solar module and connected in series.

  • Patent number: 5274978
Abstract: A clamp for fastening plate-form bodies, such as solar panels, onto a support plate comprises two U-shaped portions opening in opposite directions with a common shank portion of the two U-shaped portions. The body, such as the solar panel, has its edge received in one of the U-shaped portions, such as the upper U-shaped portion, while the opposite edge is received in a lower U-shaped portion of an adjacent row of clamps. Preferably, an elastic part having a U-shaped and profiled surfaces is placed between each of the U-shaped portions and edges of the bodies to prevent damage to the plate-shaped bodies.

  • Patent number: 5268038
Abstract: A simple connection for a solar cell module is composed of a soldered-on, stud-shaped terminal element that is fixed with a retainer element plugged thereover and glued to the back side of the solar module. The projection of the end of the terminal element comprises a connection for a cable.

  • Patent number: 5043024
Abstract: Solar cell equipment is mounted using clamps of the present invention. The clamps enable a single mounting which may be employed in conjunction with a frame. The clamps provide electrical contact to the solar cell equipment for carrying the solar generated current. Clamps may also be completely insulated from the solar cell equipment. The clamps provide mechanical stabilization for the solar cell equipment.

  • Patent number: 4838951
Abstract: A solar module mounting arrangement having a frame is composed of a plurality of components in a predetermined shape or profile. The solar modules in the frame are able to be secured so as to be stable over the long term and in a dense packing arrangement having the smallest possible space requirement. An angle bracket (2) provided with a mounting means (5) which serves to attach the solar module to a support base is arranged between at least two adjacent components (3) of the frame. A corner of the compound solar module (4) between the adjacent components (3) of the frame is provided with a recess (15). In this way, the angle bracket (2) is arranged in such a manner that a plurality of such solar modules can be arranged one beside another without spacing (dead space) between the solar modules.
