  • Patent number: 5880810
Abstract: A series of progressive ophthalmic lenses, each having a varying surface power in a distance part and/or a varying increase in surface power from a distance part to a near part, includes a front surface having a continuously varying surface power and an eye-facing surface, principal sections of which have varying powers and at least one of which deviates from a circular form. The lenses have astigmatic power and are distinguished by a deviation (dz) between an apex circle and a sagitta of each principal section, as given by the equation:dz=a.sub.j *r.sup.2 +b.sub.j *r.sup.4with coefficients.vertline.a.sub.j .vertline..ltoreq.2*10.sup.-4 mm.sup.-1.vertline.b.sub.j .vertline..ltoreq.1*10.sup.-6 mm.sup.-3and where coefficients a.sub.j2 and b.sub.j2 are yielded by the following functionals:a.sub.j =f.sub.j1 (sph,zyl)=a.sub.j1 (sph)+b.sub.j1 (sph)*zylb.sub.j =f.sub.j2 (sph,zyl)=a.sub.j2 (sph)+b.sub.j2 (sph)*zylwith coefficients a.sub.j2 and b.sub.j2 being a function of a second order.

  • Patent number: 5854669
Abstract: The present description refers to a series of progressive lenses, wherein the lenses present a different surface power in the distance-vision part and/or a different increase of the surface power from the distance-vision part towards the near-vision part (termed addition Add hereinafter), and whereof eachcomprises a front surface having a continuously varying surface power which increases from the respective value BK ?dpt!, which is suitable for distance vision, at the point having the coordinates x=0 mm, y=8 mm in the lower region of the distance-vision part along a wound line (primary line), which coincides approximately with the primary line of view, with eyes dropped, towards a value suitable for near vision in the upper region of the near-vision part, which value is greater than the value of the surface power BK in the lower region of the distance-vision part by the value ADD ?dpt! of the addition, andhaving a surface, in particular the surface on the concave side, which has a spherical shape or an asphe

  • Patent number: 4797531
Abstract: A cutting press for working plate-shaped workpieces comprises at least one working station in which a workpiece having a working place is supported and in which a part of the workpiece is to be cut out, a device for cutting out the part of the workpiece, and a device for releasing the cutout part of the workpiece from the plane of the workpiece for removing the cutout part from the working station, the releasing device including substantially a structural element which is movable in a working region of the working station in a motorized manner and shaped to release the cutout part from the workpiece.
