  • Patent number: 8470928
Abstract: A one- or two-component adhesive containing: a) a binding agent having reactive isocyanate groups or silane groups, and b) a nonreactive polymer having a glass transition temperature, measured by means of DSC, in the range from ?40° C. to +60° C. This preferably has, in a cured state, at a temperature at least in the range from ?10 to +50° C., a dynamic mechanical loss factor tan ? of at least 0.4 at a frequency in the range from 10 to 400 Hz. Use of an adhesive of this kind for the adhesive bonding of components in the manufacture or repair of vehicles, in particular for bonding windows into place in the context of direct glass bonding.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 8, 2011
Date of Patent: June 25, 2013
Assignee: Henkel AG & Co. KGaA
    Inventors: Manfred Schumann, Kersten Kreiner

  • Patent number: 5880167
Abstract: The invention relates to polyurethane compositions with a low content of monomeric diisocyanates. Trifunctional isocyanates optionally reduced in their functionality to 3.0.+-.0.7 with a monofunctional terminator are preferably used for this purpose. In this way, the compositions contain considerably smaller quantities of readily volatile isocyanates. The compositions are suitable for use as reactive hotmelt adhesives, lamination adhesives, adhesive/sealing compounds, primers and for the production of foam plastics from non-reusable pressurized containers (aerosol cans). The low content of volatile monomeric diisocyanates enables the need for safety measures in the workplace to be significantly reduced, in addition to which the disposal of residues remaining in the containers is made considerably easier.

  • Patent number: 5747581
Abstract: An adhesive and sealing material contains a) at least one reactive prepolymer which is liquid at room temperature and b) at least one further component which is solid at room temperature, liquid at a slightly raised temperature and at least partially incompatible with the liquid prepolymer(s). Component b) is preferably liquid at a temperature of max. 50.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4615164
Abstract: Packaging machine in which the introduction of wrapping material is shaped in such a way that the material can be conveyed to the lower plunger of the packaging machine at minimal expense and over the shortest possible tong path. This object is attained in that the device for supplying the articles and the equipment for introducing the wrapping material operate toward each other in opposite directions.
