Patent number: 7798018Abstract: A measuring arrangement for determining flow speeds in a flow channel includes a probe tube which is introduced via a first opening into the flow channel. The probe tube is exposed to a flow with a flow speed, the side of the probe tube facing the flow comprising a plurality of openings which are interconnected inside the probe tube such that a total pressure dependent on the flow speed prevails inside the probe tube. The measuring arrangement also comprises a static pressure opening in the flow channel, and a differential pressure sensor that determines the differential pressure between the total pressure inside the probe and the static pressure in the flow channel. The probe tube may be partially surrounded by a shield which is mobile and/or length-adjustable and that, according to its position and/or length along the probe tube, may close one, several or none of the openings.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2007Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Testo AGInventors: Martin Rombach, Udo Hug, Manfred Streicher, Jürgen Hall

Publication number: 20040059468Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling or regulating the energy flow in a measuring system which can be composed of a plurality of individual modules. Part or all of said individual modules are respectively connected by means of at least one energy supply line and at least one data line. At least one of said individual modules comprises an interface via which energy can be supplied. An energy balance table is created in at least one individual module on the basis of energy data from the connected individual modules. The energy supply and/or energy removal to/from the individual modules are controlled or regulated according to the data stored in the energy balance table.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2003Publication date: March 25, 2004Inventors: Andreas Derr, Manfred Streicher, Karl Schuler

Publication number: 20040027040Abstract: The invention relates to a housing for receiving a measuring device, comprising at least two housing elements which can be positively connected to each other by a fixing device. At least one housing element comprises a window which is at least partially transparent. An insertion device comprises a gap provided in the housing, in addition to an insertion pocket for receiving a label.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2003Publication date: February 12, 2004Inventors: Andreas Derr, Manfred Streicher, Peter Schulz

Patent number: 5412983Abstract: The flow velocity of the medium is determined with the aid of a temperature-dependent resistor. The measurement probe is located in a partially open measurement chamber. The measurement chamber has an inlet port and an outlet port of different sizes. Only if the flow enters through the smaller inlet port and exits through the larger outlet port, is the actual flow velocity measured. When the flow enters through the outlet port, the measured value is less by about 30%. From this difference the direction of flow can be clearly determined.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1994Date of Patent: May 9, 1995Assignee: Testo GmbH & Co.Inventors: Martin Rombach, Manfred Streicher

Patent number: 5049048Abstract: A hose pump has a housing (10) with a pressure connection (14) and an intake connection (12). A hose (22) is connected to the pressure connection and the intake connection and rests against the inner wall (24) of the housing (10). Squeezing members (26) can be moved along the hose (22) such that the hose is squeezed by each squeezing member from the direction of the intake connection (12) toward the direction of the pressure connection (14). The hose pump is characterized by at least one conduit (32) which is elastically deformable and whose one end (44) ends in the interior (46) of the housing (10) and whose other end (50) ends outside of the housing (10) and which is provided in the interior (46) of the housing such that by moving at least two additional squeezing members (26) which can be moved along the conduit, the conduit is squeezable from the direction of its one end (44) into the direction of its other end (50).Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1990Date of Patent: September 17, 1991Assignee: KWW Gesellschaft fur Verfahrenstechnik mbHInventor: Manfred Streicher

Patent number: 4540350Abstract: A stricture pump (30) comprising a casing (31) containing a delivery hose (32), a rotor (33) and a band-like dividing member (34) which is substantially stable in respect of length, and which is fastened to a fastening part (53, 55, 57) outside the outermost periphery of the rotor, in such a manner as to be fixed to the casing, and in addition is disposed around the rotor. Together with the casing walls, the dividing member closes off sealingly a suction chamber (38.1). On the rotation of the rotor, this closed-off suction chamber is increased in size, whereby a negative pressure is produced in it. Fluid is thereby forced from a suction branch (45) into that portion of the hose which lies within the suction chamber. On the further rotation of the rotor, the fluid drawn in is pressed out of the hose by rollers (52) on the rotor, these rollers pressing by way of the dividing member (34) against the hose disposed between the dividing member and the peripheral wall (37) of the casing.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1984Date of Patent: September 10, 1985Inventor: Manfred Streicher

Patent number: 4154560Abstract: A positive displacement pump includes a flexible endless belt 4 disposed around spaced, parallel drive rollers 8, 9 within a housing 2. The belt is non-extensible in the peripheral direction and carries elastically deformable teeth on its outer surface. The spaces between the teeth form conveying chambers 4b whose volumes vary in an expansion-contraction sense as the belt runs around a roller between inlet and outlet openings 11, 13 in the housing.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1976Date of Patent: May 15, 1979Inventor: Manfred Streicher
