  • Patent number: 8132332
Abstract: A cutting device with two toothed blades arranged to be moveable with respect to each other includes a magnetic arranged to press both blades together.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 2007
Date of Patent: March 13, 2012
    Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.
    Inventors: Manfred Tautscher, Rene Wadsack
  • Publication number: 20090199413
Abstract: To achieve a new freedom of design as well as a reduced energy consumption, a cutting device (2) and a hair-cutting apparatus with two toothed blades (201, 203) arranged to be moveable with respect to each other are proposed, the cutting device (2) comprising magnetic means (207) arranged to press both blades (201, 203) together.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 26, 2007
    Publication date: August 13, 2009
    Applicant: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS ELECTRONICS N.V.
    Inventors: Manfred Tautscher, Rene Wadsack
  • Publication number: 20080263872
Abstract: To allow for starting and/or stopping an automatic scissor drive (6) during the cutting process according to the needs of the user, a push-button (19) is provided on one handle (4b) of a pair of scissors (1). When the cutting blades (3a,b) are closed by the user, such that an angle y is reached, the rubber block (14) pushes the push-button (19), thus starting a drive unit (6). In preferred embodiments, the drive unit (6) includes a motor (9) with an unbalance element (10) inducing vibrations in one of the blades (2a). The blades (2a,b) are coupled by the elastic rubber block (14), such that the scissors (1) act as an oscillating system. The relative movement of the oscillating blades allows to cut automatically.

  • Patent number: 6308415
Abstract: In a hair-cutting apparatus (1) and in a toothed cutting device (7) for a hair-cutting apparatus (1) the toothed cutting device (7) comprises a first toothed cutter (13) and a second toothed cutter (24), which lie against one another in the area of their cuttertooth rows (18, 25) and which each have at least one supporting limb (20, 21, 46, 47) in their areas which are remote from their cutter-tooth rows (18, 25), and of which one toothed cutter (24) carries an intermediate element (48) of a low-friction material, which comprises at least one intermediate element portion (49, 50) interposed between two facing supporting limbs (20, 46, 21, 47), and furthermore it has the advantageous feature that the at least one intermediate element portion (49, 50) of the intermediate element (48) carried by the one toothed cutter (24) has a smaller dimension in the toothed cutter direction (17) than the at least one supporting limb (20, 21) of the other toothed cutter (13), which last-mentioned limb 20, 21 faces the at leas
