  • Patent number: 12121028
Abstract: Applicants have developed novel methods and compositions for treating, preventing or ameliorating the effects plant phytopathogen infestation in plants, including of Candidatus liberibacter spp. the causal agents of citrus greening and potato zebrachip disease. Novel compositions include one or more active agents of aminocaproic acid, carbinoxamine maleate, chloroxylenol, chlorpropamide, cinoxacin, duartin, and cyclopentolate hydrochloride as well as their derivatives, or salt/acid forms thereof. Methods of preventing disease development and infestation by plant pathogens are disclosed as well as methods of making, using and producing such compositions.

  • Patent number: 11254965
Abstract: Numerous plant microbes, including the vascular-limited Candidatus spp.—causal agents of citrus greening and potato zebra chip diseases—are non-culturable. The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to compositions, methods and systems for culturing such organisms. For example, the present disclosure relates to methods for culturing, propagating, and characterizing fastidious vascular-colonizing microbes using a hairy root system (e.g., in vitro, in planta). The present disclosure relates, in some embodiments, to methods for cultivating a fastidious plant microbe including: contacting a plant (e.g., a tomato plant, a potato plant, a citrus plant) colonized by a fastidious plant microbe (e.g., Xylella fastidiosa, Candidatus Liberibacter spp.) with a suspension of R. rhizogenes under conditions that permit induction of hairy roots colonized with the fastidious plant microbe, and propagating the colonized microbial hairy roots.

  • Patent number: 8452634
Abstract: The invention describes a computer-implemented method and system for assessing the progress of a project in terms of its schedule. The method includes receiving project data and based on the project data, calculating a first period (PE) after which a current earned value (EV) was expected to be realized. The method also includes calculating a second period (PR) in which the current EV has been realized. Further, the method includes calculating a fraction component (EF) of a period when the current EV was expected to be realized and finally, calculating an earned schedule performance index (ESPI) based on PE, PR and EF, wherein the ESPI indicates whether the project is on schedule.
