Assigning codes to devices, and reading and listing them may aid in configuring the devices. Templates may be used for dynamic configuration of devices and equipment. Representing terminal assignments and wiring diagrams of control devices may be intuitive in that they resemble real hardware for ease of complete installation. The present system and approach may provide an intuitive way of securely registering devices with cloud usage, for example, involving a mobile phone with no manual entry of data so that a user can complete this process with ease. An intuitive, automatic and asynchronous device configuration downloading may be seen, such as to multiple control devices in a single shot. There may be seamless configuration data synchronization, for example, in view of replacement devices, or so the latest data is readily available.

Abstract: Examples described herein include virtualized environments including a virtualized file server. Examples of secure domain join processes are described which may facilitate joining a virtualized file server or portions thereof to a domain. In some examples, the secure domain join process itself, and/or an associated file server virtual machine, may have insufficient credentials to write objects into an active directory. The active directory credentials need not be shared with the file server virtual machine. Rather, in some examples, the secure domain join process may provide a user system with a list of actions to be performed using active directory credentials.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for controlling a plurality of devices and equipment installed at a building. A system or common model of the devices and equipment at the building may be accessible by a technician during setup of a BMS for a building. The system model may enforce standardized device names and standardized point names that may be hardware agnostic for the plurality of devices and equipment installed at the building. A gateway in communication with the installed devices and equipment, along with a computing device storing the system model, may receive point information from the installed devices and equipment and convert the received point information into hardware agnostic point information. The gateway may receive hardware agnostic control commands from the system model and convert the hardware agnostic control commands into hardware specific control commands.

Abstract: A set of potential personal information (PI) is constructed. A first data component of a first potential PI in the set of potential PI conforms to each element of a delimited alphanumeric string defining a PI search pattern. A first metadata component of the first potential PI comprises system information of a system maintaining the first potential PI. Responsive to determining that a component of the first potential PI meets a specification of a component of a signature, the first potential PI is identified as a first actual PI, wherein the signature comprises a data component specifying an alphanumeric string and a metadata component specifying a delimited alphanumeric string defining a metadata search pattern. Using a removal request constructed responsive to identifying the first actual PI, removal of the first data component from data maintained by the system maintaining the first potential PI is caused.

A method for task allocation of aerial vehicles includes: generating a spot price for a task to be performed by at least one aerial vehicle; determining an expected time for completion of the task by the at least one aerial vehicle; comparing a received bid to the spot price; and performing the task using the at least one aerial vehicle if the bid is greater than the spot price.

Abstract: Methods and systems for assessing and/or treating visual disorders, such as discorder in accommodative ability and/or vergence ability, of a person are provided. Assessment and training exercises can be performed utilizing a computerized system in communication with a head-mountable display (HMD), such as a virtual or augmented reality display, which can display visual targets at various vergence and accommodative demands. Lenses, such as inverted bifocal lenses, may be used in combination with the HMD to mimic natural accommodative demand during viewing or to enable assessment and treatment of accommodation disorders. Corrective factors can be calculated and utilized for generation of visual targets to account for lens characteristics and/or interpupillary distance mismatch.

Abstract: Various aspects of a system and method for driving assistance along a path are disclosed herein. In accordance with an embodiment, a unique identifier is received from a communication device at an electronic control unit (ECU) of a first vehicle. The unique identifier is received when the first vehicle has reached a first location along a first portion of the path. A communication channel is established between the first vehicle and the communication device based on the received unique identifier. Data associated with a second portion of the path is received by the ECU from the communication device based on the established communication channel. Alert information associated with the second portion of the path is generated by the ECU based on the received data.

Abstract: A system and method for securing an application through an application-aware runtime agent can include: acquiring a code profile, instrumenting the application with a runtime agent according to the code profile, enforcing the runtime agent on the execution of the application, and responding to the runtime agent. Enforcing the runtime agent on the execution of the application can include monitoring the execution flow, which comprises of monitoring the utilization of the controls through the execution of the application; detecting a threat, which comprises identifying a section of the execution flow as a potential security threat; and regulating the execution flow to prevent or ameliorate the security threat. Responding to the runtime agent can include responding to the security threat and providing a user interface that may output runtime agent diagnostics and trigger alerts.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for selectively replacing commercials that are in a video data stream with alternative commercials. Automatic content recognition (ACR) is performed on the video data stream to detect the identity of each of the commercials played in a commercial block during a commercial break. Commercials in the video data stream which are detected as being displayed on a video display device are stored in a first database, and commercials in the video data stream which are detected as not being displayed on the video display device are stored in a second database. A rules engine defines how commercials in the video data stream should be replaced with other commercials. Commercials in the video data stream that were previously detected as being displayed on the video display device are selectively replaced with commercials that were previously detected as not being displayed on the video display device.

Abstract: A method of providing a plurality of controller certificates for a plurality of controllers within a Building Management System (BMS) includes downloading project information defining the BMS and using the downloaded project information to solicit a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) from each of the plurality of controllers of the BMS. The received CSRs are uploaded to a remote server so that the remote server can generate a corresponding controller certificate for each of the plurality of controllers of the BMS. The generated controller certificates are then downloaded to the corresponding one of the plurality of controllers of the BMS.
