  • Patent number: 8641529
Abstract: Scheduled programmatic multiplayer game content in a console service is provided. A plurality of multiplayer game events is scheduled. Each event has a fixed start time and fixed end time. Requests from users to participate in event are received and a determination is made as to whether users electing to participate in the game are eligible to participate. If the user is eligible to participate in the game, instructions are provided to a console to allow the user to participate in the game. If the user is not eligible to participate in the game, instructions may be provided to a console to allow a user to view activity in the game.

  • Publication number: 20130286921
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for mitigating duplication of multicast data streams to wireless client devices. The method comprises the operations of detecting, by one or more network devices, a multicast message, and controlling, by the one or more network devices, a forwarding of information within the multicast message to a network device handling multicast data transmissions. The forwarding is controlled based on information within the multicast message and the presence of such information in prior established data structure.

  • Patent number: 7865531
Abstract: Described are methods and systems for providing value help features to input fields. In response to a user selection of a condition type, an associated metadata is retrieved. Based upon the metadata, a user interface element comprising a static key and a dynamic key is generated. The dynamic key includes a name field and a value input field. Based upon the user interface element, a generic query including an input parameter node and a result node is generated. For the name field and the value input field of the dynamic key, a sequence number indicating an associated attribute group is extracted from the metadata. Based upon a field type of the value input field, the user interface element is bound to the associated attribute group indicated by the sequence number. Based upon the user entry received at the value input field, a corresponding value help feature is displayed.

  • Patent number: 7617236
Abstract: A method and system for displaying results of a dynamic search are provided. Results of a search are received in a result node of a query wherein the result node comprises a first node and a second node. The first node has a static key data and the second node has a dynamic key data. The static key data and the dynamic key data are transferred to a dummy node. A table displaying the static key data and the dynamic key data is then generated based upon the dummy node.

  • Patent number: 7600186
Abstract: Additional synonym pairs are inferred from a pair of schema elements (of different schemas) mapped by a user, and the inferred pairs are added to a dictionary. According to one aspect of the present invention, a mapped pair is inferred as a synonym pair if the elements of the mapped pair cannot be mapped according to a program logic otherwise. According to one more aspect of the present invention, the parents of the mapped elements are also inferred as synonym pairs if sufficient peer (to the mapped elements) elements are already mapped or considered synonyms.

  • Publication number: 20090063442
Abstract: A method and system for providing value help features to input fields generated for dynamically selected columns is provided. A user interface element is generated for a dynamic key from the metadata. The user interface element has a name field and a value input field. A generic query having an attribute group is provided. The attribute group includes a name attribute, a code value attribute and an identifier value attribute. A sequence number is extracted from the metadata. It is determined from the sequence number that whether the user interface element is to be bound to the attribute group or not. A field type of the dynamic key is determined from the metadata. The name field is bound to the name attribute. The value input field is bound to the code value attribute if the field type is a code type. The value input field is bound to the identifier value attribute if the field type is an identifier type. Determining a query descriptor from the metadata.

  • Publication number: 20060120911
Abstract: A reinforced solder is formed by mixing particles of a solder material capable of forming a metal matrix and a reinforcing particulate to form a particulate mixture; compressing the mixture at room temperature to form a solid compact; and sintering the compact to form a particulate composite in which the reinforcing particulate is embedded in a metal matrix formed from the solder material. The solder material can be a lead-free solder material. There is also provided a reinforced solder which includes a lead-free metal matrix and a reinforcing particulate embedded in the metal matrix. The metal matrix includes a combination of tin, copper, silver, and indium having volume ratios of about 91.4:0.5:4.1:4. The reinforcing particulate has an average diameter less than 100 nm. The reinforced solder has a melting point between 180° C. to 230° C.

  • Publication number: 20050090213
Abstract: A tuner and demodulator performing image rejection in an analog cable television system. Various embodiments disclose a tuner including an analog RF section to generate a complex intermediate frequency digital signal, an image rejection module configured to perform image rejection on the complex intermediate frequency digital signal to generate an enhanced image rejection signal, a signal channel select filter configured to perform digital on-chip filtering on the enhanced image rejection signal to generate a filtered signal, and a demodulator configured to demodulate the filtered signal to generate digital output signals. In some embodiments, the tuner is substantially or fully monolithic. In some embodiments, the tuner performs image rejection by applying an algorithm to estimate a signal correlation between the signal band and the image band of the complex intermediate frequency digital signal, and providing adaptive filtering to reduce signal leakage and image leakage.

  • Patent number: 6623571
Abstract: This invention relates to the synthesis of a new generation of metastable aluminum-titanium (Al—Ti) alloys and the process of making them. The preparation method used is a combination process incorporating the advantages of conventional casting and spray techniques. The process is a low cost process. The aluminum-titanium materials made in this invention contain titanium in both the reacted and unreacted form. The results were confirmed using microstructural and x-ray diffraction studies. The presence of phases clearly indicate the metastable nature of these materials in accordance with the equilibrium phase diagram established for Al—Ti system. The Al—Ti materials can be made in the dimensions suitable for structural applications at ambient and elevated temperatures and as control materials for synthesis of more dilute equilibrium Al—Ti materials using conventional techniques such as casting.

  • Patent number: 6495212
Abstract: This invention relates to the synthesis of Al/SiC based functionally gradient materials using a new technique termed here as gradient slurry disintegration and deposition. Gradients of SiC were successfully established using this technique for the starting weight percentages up to 20%. The results were confirmed using microstructural characterization techniques and microhardness measurements. Functionally gradient materials synthesized using this method holds the promise where differential tribological characteristics and the strength/toughness combinations may be required from the opposite surfaces.
