Abstract: A transfer press apparatus for molding a material panel in a predetermined shape is provided, which comprises: (a) an upper mold; (b) a lower mold; (c) a crankshaft to supply power to move the upper and lower molds; (d) a blank holder connected to an outer circumference of the lower molder; (e) a finger arranged between the upper mold and the lower mold so as to lift the panel after the panel is molded by the upper and lower molds; and (f) an operating die face unit mounted on the blank holder so as to provide a space for receiving the finger when the finger is used to lift the panel. A method for controlling the apparatus is also provided.
