  • Patent number: 11962234
Abstract: A circuit includes a first rectifier having a first rectifier input and a first rectifier output. The circuit also includes a bridge circuit and a second rectifier. The bridge circuit is coupled to the first rectifier output. The bridge circuit has first, second, third, and fourth terminals. The first and second terminals are coupled to the first rectifier output, and the third and fourth terminals are adapted to be coupled to a primary winding of a transformer. The second rectifier has a second rectifier input and a second rectifier output. The second rectifier input is adapted to be coupled to a secondary winding of the transformer.

  • Publication number: 20240118911
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of deploying a secondary cluster of one or more service machines to a public secondary cloud to provide a service to supplement a primary cluster of service machines that provide the service in a primary cloud. The method receives a set of one or more user-defined criteria to use to deploy the secondary cluster in the public secondary cloud. After receiving the set of user-defined criteria, the method detects that the secondary cluster is needed to supplement the primary cluster. The method retrieves previously collected data about different public clouds that are candidates for the deployment of the secondary cluster. Based on the set of user-defined criteria, the method analyzes the previously collected data to select for the deployment a particular candidate public cloud as the public secondary cloud. Then, the method deploys the secondary cluster in the selected particular public cloud.

  • Patent number: 7729359
Abstract: Improved methods and systems are provided to facilitate delivery services between a sending party and a receiving party while permitting a physical location of the receiving party to remain transparent to the sending party. For example, a system as disclosed herein can permit the receiving party to take delivery of mail, packages, or other articles through the use of a virtual address defined by the receiving party without requiring the receiving party to disclose its physical address to the sending party. In another example, articles may be routed to a temporary physical address of the receiving party through the use of a temporary forwarding path also defined by the receiving party.

  • Patent number: 7533146
Abstract: A shared web browser for simultaneously linking together a plurality of remote locations to deliver live presentations to anyone, anywhere in the world. The web browser can be used either by itself, or in conjunction with a conventional telephone conference call. A personal computer at each location is linked together by means of an Internet connection, wherein one of those computers controls the information displayed on each of the other computers; this is the presenter's function. Each of the other users or participants are referred to as attendees, and the presenter directs information to be displayed on the monitors of all the participants in the conference. The shared web browser of the present invention works within conventional Internet browsers, eliminating the need for the purchase of or training in the use of expensive video conferencing equipment.

  • Publication number: 20060199508
Abstract: An intensifier is disclosed. The intensifier includes an enclosure with an intake port, an exhaust port, an interior surface that defines a chamber, and an air flow source in communication with the chamber. The intensifier can be positioned in an under floor plenum of a data center. In the plenum, an ambient at a first pressure is draw into the chamber via the intake port and is expelled out of the chamber via the exhaust port and at a second pressure that is higher than the first pressure. The ambient expelled from the intensifier can pass through a vent tile in a raised floor of the data center and the ambient can be used to cool a component supported by the raised floor.

  • Patent number: 6976056
Abstract: A system for allowing company representatives or web site operators to monitor and track activity of visitors to their web site and proactively establish live contact with the visitor using text messaging. A customer service representative of a website operator can instantly send a message to a visitor in order to help them obtain the most relevant information desired, and to directly answer any questions the visitor may have. A radar screen provides information to the website operator of how people are accessing their website by providing on one screen a visual comparison of the different locations or pages within the website where the visitors are browsing. The radar screen can be divided into sectors representative of each of these locations, and the number of visitors to each one is indicated.

  • Patent number: 6781834
Abstract: A cooling device with an air shower is disclosed. The cooling device includes a heat mass with a plurality of spaced apart fins connected therewith. An air shower including an injector face with a plurality of disrupter orifices is positioned over the fins so that the disrupter orifices direct a second air flow into slots between adjacent fins. A first air flow flowing through the slots is impinged upon and is disrupted by the second air flow resulting in the generation of turbulence in the first air flow. Consequently, a thermal boundary layer in the first air flow is disrupted and a rate,of heat transfer from the fins and the heat mass are increased.
