  • Publication number: 20220337790
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for monitoring captured images and/or video from one or more cameras are described herein. The systems may include one or more cameras, a video recorder, a mobile display device, and a location detection system. The location detection system may detect a proximity of the mobile display device relative to one or more cameras and determine when the proximity to a camera meets a predetermine proximity criteria. The mobile display device may display at least part of a recorded video stream that is captured by the camera when it is determined the proximity of the mobile display device to the camera meets the predetermined proximity criteria. In some cases, the displayed video may be displayed in a virtual reality or three dimensional format. Further, as the proximity of the mobile display device to the camera changes, a zoom level and/or direction of view of the displayed video may change.

  • Publication number: 20210398691
Abstract: Methods and systems for location tracking or maintaining a count of people in a building or space. An illustrative method may include storing a background image of a field of view of a video camera and receiving a video stream from the video camera. Background subtraction may be performed to identify one or more blobs in the field of view of the video camera. The size of the one or more blobs may be compared to an expected size of the blob at a similar distance from the camera. When the size of the blob is greater than the expected size of a person at the determined distance of the corresponding blob by more than a predetermined threshold the blob may be counted as two or more people.

  • Patent number: 9891789
Abstract: A video surveillance system having a plurality of video-type cameras includes a graphical user interface which is not list driven but provides a background image of a portion of the region being monitored, and, event or incident identifiers associated with the provided background image. The event or incident identifiers are presented semi-transparently and overlay the background image. Each of the incident identifiers includes a selectable icon. Selecting the icon switches to a different background image and presents a different foreground group of incidents or events associated with the different background image. The various events or incidents can be explored in the context of the background image. In addition with selecting the icons user can also select the event or incident identifier to see the corresponding background image. Once the background image is updated, user can start play the video directly in the same view.

  • Patent number: 8027256
Abstract: In one embodiment of a network device, multiple packet sources contend for access to a packet processing pipeline. The packet processing pipeline tracks the usage of lookup resources by each of the multiple packet sources. When a packet source is detected to be using more than an acceptable allocation of the lookup resources, access to the packet processing pipeline for that source is limited or curtailed to bring that source back within an acceptable allocation of resources. This backpressure mechanism can be used to control sources that, although within a bandwidth limit, are submitting a packet type mix that is consuming unfair percentages of lookup resources in an oversubscribed system. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
