Publication number: 20240126103Abstract: A prescription lens insert and methods of use are described, in which flexing a frame of a prescription lens insert, such that left and right rims of the frame are displaced mediolaterally, aligns respective larger ends of two keyhole apertures of the frame with left and right mushroom-shaped connector pegs protruding rearward from a pair of protective glasses. The prescription lens insert is then placed over the left and right connector pegs, such that distal heads of the connector pegs pass through the two keyhole apertures of the frame and the keyhole apertures are disposed adjacent shaft portions of the connector pegs. The frame of the prescription lens insert is then unflexed to align respective smaller ends of the two keyhole apertures with the left and right connector pegs, such that the distal heads prevent removal of the unflexed frame.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2022Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Ludovic Francis BOINNARD, Marc Guy BLANCHARD, Dennis C. Patent number: 9372493Abstract: A modular multilevel converter system. The system includes a plurality of series connected two-terminal M2LC cells arranged into at least two output phase modules. A first one of the output phase modules has an inductance and an effective capacitance associated therewith. The first one of the output phase modules is configured so that a natural resonant frequency of the inductance with the effective capacitance of the first one of the output phase modules is greater than at least one of the following: an operating frequency of the first one of the output phase modules; a switching frequency of the first one of the output phase modules; and a switching frequency of any of the M2LC cells of the first one of the output phase modules.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2013Date of Patent: June 21, 2016Assignee: Benshaw, Inc.Inventors: Marc Francis Aiello, Kenneth Stephen Berton, Walter Gilbert Barie

Patent number: 8700693Abstract: An extensible mechanism for executing code on one of one or more servers and in association with one of one or more client applications (i.e. “clients”). In accordance with a model of the extensible mechanism, the execution of server side code is partitioned into three stages, a view stage for determining the code for running, a server stage for determining the server to execute the code and a launcher stage to determine the client for interacting with the server to run the code. Lists of processing elements at each stage extensibly configure the mechanism to work with different types of server side code to be run, different servers to run the code and different clients with which to interact with the server running the code. By modeling the execution of server side code in stages and using lists of processing elements, the mechanism is easily extended to new code types, servers and launchers.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2003Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Timothy Gerrit Deboer, Timothy Marc Francis, Derek Tai-Wah Koo, Sheldon Bradley Wosnick, Elson Siu Chung Yuen

Patent number: 8618698Abstract: A modular multilevel converter system. The system includes a plurality of series connected two-terminal M2LC subsystems and a control system module. The two-terminal M2LC subsystems are arranged into at least two output phase modules. A first one of the output phase modules defines a total value of inductance and includes a positive arm and a negative arm. The control system module is configured to apply selectively reassigned modulated switch functions to only one of the following at a given instance of time: the two-terminal M2LC subsystems of the positive arm of the first one of the output phase modules or the two-terminal M2LC subsystems of the negative arm of the first one of the output phase modules. The selective reassigning of the modulated switch functions forces charge balance of the individual capacitors of the series connected two-terminal M2LC subsystems at a predetermined rate.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2011Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Assignee: Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical CorporationInventors: Marc Francis Aiello, Dustin Matthew Kramer, Kenneth Stephen Berton

Patent number: 8438468Abstract: The invention, which may be a kind of annotations processor, detects zero or more tagsets turned on or selected at runtime. The annotations adapter reads an abstract unit from a java file, and if an annotation of the abstract unit has a tag that is among the tags of a turned on tagset, then the annotations adapter may generate an artifact showing the influence of the annotation. Such a process may continue until there are no more abstract units to process. Comments or annotations that fail to be tagged with a tag of a selected tagset may, nevertheless, be mentioned with a kind of ‘place-holder’ indicating that such comments exist.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2005Date of Patent: May 7, 2013Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Daniel Christopher Berg, Michael Damein Elder, Timothy Marc Francis, Patrick James Kelley, Jr., John David Lanuti, Narinder Makin, Jason Robert McGee, Sachin Pravin Patel, Lawrence Scott Rich, Ritchard Leonard Schacher
