  • Patent number: 11967291
Abstract: A display may have a pixel array such as a liquid crystal pixel array. The pixel array may be illuminated by a backlight unit that includes an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The backlight unit may determine the type of content in the image data. The backlight unit may decide to prioritize either mitigating halo or mitigating clipping based on the type of content. The determination of the type of content in the image data may be used to determine the brightness values for the LEDs in the LED array. If the content is determined to be a first type of content, at least one given LED in the LED array may have a different brightness value than if the content is determined to be a second, different type of content. Classifying content in the image data may be useful in optimizing visible artifacts such as visible halo and clipping.

  • Publication number: 20240125965
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a well inspection method and system is disclosed. The method includes transmitting an acoustic signal from a well inspection tool into a casing structure, receiving return signals from the casing structure to the well inspection tool, performing, using at least one processor associated with the well inspection tool, a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on a plurality of frequencies of the return signals to generate spectrogram data, determining entropy spectra from the spectrogram data, and determining casing loadings associated with the casing structure based at least in part on the entropy spectra.

  • Patent number: 9243153
Abstract: The invention relates to polyisocyanate adducts obtainable by reacting at least one polysiloxane of the structure (I), at least one polyisocyanate having at least three NCO groups, at least one (meth)acrylate of the structure (II), where U is one of the following groups: (III), and optionally a compound reactive with isocyanates. The indices m, n, x and y assume values of 0 to 100. In addition, t=2 to 30, s=1 to 400 and i=1 to 5. The radicals identified by the letter R are suitable organic groups. ASi is an OH—, NH2— or CO2H— group. In addition, m+n+x+y?3. The invention further relates to a process for preparing the polyisocyanate adducts and to a radiation-curable coating composition comprising at least one radiation-curable polymer as a binder and at least one inventive polyisocyanate adduct. The invention further relates to the use of the inventive polyisocyanate adducts as an additive.
