  • Patent number: 10478852
Abstract: A device for dispensing a material has a container for holding the material, a piston movably arranged within the container and a spindle in cooperation with the piston. The device is configured such that the spindle and the container are rotatable relative to each other to move the piston for dispensing the material. The piston and the spindle are adapted to anti-twist lock against each other in a first axial position of the piston relative to spindle. And in a second axial position of the piston relative to spindle the anti-twist lock between the piston and the spindle is suspended. The device helps minimizing any residual dental material upon attempting to empty the device.

  • Publication number: 20190298490
Abstract: A syringe (1) for dispensing a dental substance. The syringe has a container (11) that forms at least a first and a second component chamber (111, 112) and a plunger (12) having a first and a second plunger rod (121, 122). The first and second plunger rod (121, 122) are at least partially arranged in the first and second chambers, respectively, for a movement from a full position to an empty position over a displacement length. The syringe (1) further has an actuator (13) that is guided for a movement relative to the container (11). The movement of the actuator (13) is restricted for a predetermined actuation stroke being defined by a length between a rear position and a front position of the actuator (13). The plunger has a toothing and the teeth of the toothing are spaced at a pitch P. The actuator has at least a first pawl (139a) that meshes into the toothing of the plunger (12).

  • Patent number: 10143535
Abstract: A container for storing and dispensing a liquid has a generally cup-shaped receptacle formed by a circumferential side wall and a front wall. A piston is slidably accommodated within the receptacle. The receptacle and the piston in combination form a chamber in which the liquid is received. The piston forms a sealing structure bearing on an inner surface of the side wall. The inner surface of the side wall has an arithmetic average surface roughness of between 0.05 ?m and 4.5 ?m R?a.#191 The container allows for air to penetrate in the chamber while it provides for the liquid to be captured therein.

  • Publication number: 20180338816
Abstract: A dispenser for a pasty material has a container, a cover and a handle. The dispenser is operable by twisting the cover and the handle relative to each other in a dispensing direction for dispensing material and, alternatively, in an opposite closing direction. The container having an outlet for the material and the cover having a dispensing opening. The container and the cover are arranged relative to each other for a rotation between a closed position, in which the cover closes the outlet, and an open position, in which the dispensing opening opens the outlet. A first engagement mechanism is provided for enabling the container and the handle to engage with each other in at least one angular position during twisting in the closing direction. The first engagement mechanism further forming a freewheel mechanism with respect to a rotation in the dispensing direction.

  • Patent number: 10117726
Abstract: A plunger assembly for a cartridge for dispensing dental material. The plunger assembly has a receptacle, an activator, and a passageway extending through the receptacle along a longitudinal axis. The passageway forms a chamber for storing at least a component of the dental material and has an outlet for the chamber. The activator has a piston for extruding the component from the chamber and a plug for the outlet. The activator is movable to unplug the outlet and to subsequently extrude the component in a single stroke. The plunger assembly helps for reliably emptying the chamber and helps facilitating dispensation of dental materials.

  • Publication number: 20180264509
Abstract: A device for dispensing a material, being provided with a plunger assembly which has a screw with a first thread portion and a second thread portion. The first and second thread portion differ in shape and, in combination, form one continuous screw thread. The plunger assembly further has a nut which engages the screw thread by a nut thread. The nut thread corresponds in shape to a negative shape of the first thread portion. The invention help minimizing efforts in the assembly of a device using the plunger assembly.

  • Patent number: 10016257
Abstract: A pen-like dispenser for dispensing a dental material has a handle and a cover which are attached for rotation relative to each other about a longitudinal axis of the dispenser, and a cartridge for holding the dental material and a screw plunger for extruding the dental material from the cartridge by screwing action. The cartridge and the cover in combination form a rotary slide valve which is operable by rotation about the longitudinal axis between a storage position, in which the cover closes a dispensing outlet of the cartridge, and a dispensing position, in which an opening in the cover opens the dispensing outlet of the cartridge. A relative rotation between the screw plunger and the handle about the longitudinal axis is restricted, and a relative rotation between the cartridge and the cover about the longitudinal axis is enabled within a predetermined rotation angle and restricted otherwise.

  • Patent number: 9981787
Abstract: A device for dispensing a dental material comprises a container for containing the material and an outlet which is closed by a closure. A breakable seal is arranged between the closure and the container. The device further is operable between a storage position in which the outlet is closed and an operational position in which the outlet is open. An initial operation toward the operational position causes the seal to break, whereby the closure is captured in the device. The device may provide a relatively long shelf life for the material, and may facilitate preparation of the material for use.

  • Patent number: 9737378
Abstract: A device for dispensing a dental material has a cartridge with a dispensing end. The dispensing end has a dispensing opening for the dental material. The dispensing end further has in essence an axially symmetric shape with a truncation. The truncation provides the dispensing end with a generally flat dispensing surface through which the dispensing opening extends. The device has further a cap received on the dispensing end. The cap and the dispensing end are rotatable relative to each other between an open position, in which an orifice in the cap uncovers the dispensing surface, and a closed position, in which a closed space is formed between the cap and the dispensing surface. The device allows for a relatively convenient dispensation of dental material, in particular for a dispensation of a dental composite filling material.
