Abstract: Mass-based dispensing of a powder product includes a system that dispenses a powder product containing an active ingredient from a product container. The system initiates a dispense cycle at a first, higher dispense rate. The system continuously determines, as the powder product is dispensed, the amount or weight of the powder product that has been dispensed. Once a transition criteria has been satisfied, the system adjusts the dispense rate to a second, lower dispense rate. The system dispenses the powder product at the second, lower dispense rate until a requested amount of the powder product has been dispensed.
