  • Publication number: 20230255751
Abstract: A method and system provide an ophthalmic lens including a lens body having a chamber therein, a reservoir module coupled with the lens body and an optical fluid. At least part of the lens body is flexible. The reservoir module includes a reservoir and a heat sensitive portion bordering the reservoir. The reservoir has a reservoir volume and is fluidically connected with the chamber. The heat sensitive portion has a shape responsive to a temperature of at least forty five degrees Celsius such that the reservoir volume changes in response to at least part of the heat sensitive portion reaching the temperature. The optical fluid resides in the chamber and the reservoir. A change in the reservoir volume flows a portion of the optical fluid between the reservoir and the chamber such that the flexible portion of the lens body undergoes a shape change corresponding to a base power change.

  • Publication number: 20220274803
Abstract: An elevator operating device for a floor comprises a touch-sensitive screen. Call symbols are displayed on a user interface, one of which has to be touched in order to input a character stored for this call symbol. In order to enter a two-digit destination floor, the passenger leaves their finger on the touch surface after inputting a first character, whereby the elevator operating device recognizes that the passenger has limited vision. The elevator operating device registers a second character if it detects a confirmation action for the second character without recognizing that the finger has been lifted from the touch surface. As long as the finger is touching the touch surface, no destination call is generated; the destination call is only generated when the passenger lifts their finger, thus indicating that the input has been completed.

  • Publication number: 20220242695
Abstract: An elevator system in which an elevator car can be moved between floors in a manner controlled by an elevator controller is described. A car call device is communicatively connected to the elevator controller for inputting a destination floor is arranged in the elevator car. Elevator operation devices are communicatively connected to the elevator controller are arranged on the floors for the input of calls. An elevator operation device has a touch-sensitive screen system equipped with a substantially smooth touch surface and which responds with haptically perceptible feedback to a touch of the touch surface by a passenger.

  • Publication number: 20220127111
Abstract: An elevator installation has elevator operating devices arranged on floors of a building and communicatively connected to an elevator controller. The elevator operating devices include main operating devices configured for inputting a destination floor desired by a passenger and for outputting travel information, and at least one secondary operating device arranged on one of the floors. The secondary operating device is next to the main operating device on the one floor and is communicatively connected to the elevator controller. The secondary operating device has a touch-sensitive screen system that confirms a destination floor, input by touch, by a tactilely perceptible feedback in order to support a passenger with a physical limitation when inputting a call. The elevator controller determines travel information for the destination floor input on the secondary operating device and communicates this information to the passenger by the main operating device arranged next to the secondary operating device.

  • Patent number: 10049375
Abstract: A system is disclosed that identifies early adopter users by creating a directed graph of item access information for an item category and performing a page rank type process on the item access information. This directed graph may be created in a reverse temporal order. The early adopter users can be identified as the users with nodes in the directed graph that have a threshold number or rate of incoming links directly or indirectly pointing towards the nodes. Using the early adopter users as a sample, systems herein can determine whether to recommend an item based on the popularity of the item with respect to the early adopter users. Further, systems herein can determine an inventory level to maintain for an item based on the popularity of the item with respect to the early adopter users.
