  • Patent number: 6008571
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube has a shadow mask. The shadow mask is provided with a layer of a material having an average Z number below 20 on the side facing the phosphor screen. The layer is preferable deposited by means of electrodeposition.

  • Patent number: 4685012
Abstract: A magnetic head having a core of a magnetizable material around a part of which a coil is provided. A transducing gap is formed between two core parts of a magnetically anisotropic, amorphous ferromagnetic metal. The core parts of a magnetically anisotropic, amorphous ferromagnetic material have a magnetic anisotropy direction induced by a thermal treatment in a magnetic field which is in the plane of the core parts and encloses an angle .alpha. with the direction in which magnetic flux traverses the core parts during operation. .alpha. preferably is equial to 90.degree.. By these means an increased permeability in the MHz range is reached in combination with a minimum loss component.

  • Patent number: 4616154
Abstract: A cathode-ray tube of the post-focusing type comprising color selection means in the form of a ferromagnetic plate having a large number of apertures. The plate is magnetized so that a magnetic quadrupole lens is formed in each aperture. The ferromagnetic plate consists of an Fe-Co-Cr alloy having 25-27% by weight of Co and the remainder essentially Fe.

  • Patent number: 4379251
Abstract: In a cathode-ray tube for displaying colored pictures comprising in an evacuated envelope means to generate a number of electron beams, a display screen comprising a number of regions luminescing in different colors, and color selection means comprising a large number of apertures which assign each electron beam to luminescent regions of one color, in which color selection means a magnetic quadrupole field is generated to form a magnetic quadrupole electron lens in each aperture, which luminescent regions have the shape of substantially parallel strips the longitudinal direction of which is substantially parallel to the defocusing direction of the quadrupole lens, characterized in that the apertures are elongate, substantially hexagonal and symmetrical relative to their longitudinal axes and are situated with their longitudinal axes in a number of parallel rows which extend substantially parallel to the strips and the apertures of two juxtaposed rows are shifted relative to each other, it is possible, in spit
