  • Patent number: 10759332
Abstract: A component (1) is disclosed. The component (1) comprises at least one flat decorative element (2) having a visible side (3) and a back side (4), at least one layer (5, 5) having a front side (6) and a back side (7), which layer is arranged on the back side (4) of the flat decorative element (2), wherein the front side (6) faces the back side (4) of the flat decorative element (2), at least one housing (8) having an inner side (9) and an outer side (10), wherein the inner side (9) faces the back side (7) of the layer (5), wherein the housing (8) is made of a material which has a hardness that is different from the hardness of a material of which the layer (5, 5?) is made, and wherein the housing (8) engages in at least one recess (26) arranged in the layer (5, 5?) and/or the layer (5, 5?) engages in at least one recess arranged in the housing (8).

  • Patent number: 10449911
Abstract: Before back molding, the planar decorative element is provided with through-holes. At least in the area of the through-holes, a film is applied to the rear of the planar decorative element. When a plastic melt is introduced, for example by way of injection molding or extruding, the pressure of the plastic melt presses the film into said through-holes. The component is used, in particular, to produce an illuminable field, for example, of a door sill protector of a motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20190263036
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a component having a base element (1), which has a front side (10) delimited by an outer edge (11), a rear side (14) and one or more side surfaces (15) that connect the front side (10) to the rear side (14). The component also has a cover layer (2) formed of a coating, said layer being sprayed onto the base element (1), wherein during spraying, the coating is guided through one or more supply channels (16), which extend continuously through the base element (1) to the front side (10) and/or to one or more side surfaces (15). During spraying, the coating is flooded onto at least part of the side surfaces (15).

  • Patent number: 9302633
Abstract: Before back molding, a two-dimensionally extending decorative element is provided with through-holes. At least in the area of the through-holes, a film is applied to the rear of the two-dimensionally extending decorative element. When a plastic melt is introduced, for example by way of injection molding or extruding, the pressure of the plastic melt presses the film into the through-holes. The component is used, in particular, to produce an illuminable field, for example, of a door sill protector of a motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20140356128
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for providing a fluid flow to a compressor system of a first turbo machine, wherein the compressor system includes at least one compressor housing in which at least one impeller is arranged and through which a compressor flow flows. The method includes feeding a primary fluid flow to a mixing region of the compressor system. The method further includes feeding a secondary fluid flow from an outside region of the compressor housing to the mixing region so that the secondary fluid flow mixes at least in part with the primary fluid flow to form a resulting fluid flow so that between the primary fluid flow and the secondary fluid flow a momentum exchange takes place, and so that the secondary fluid flow is promoted by the primary fluid flow. The method further includes feeding the resulting fluid flow to the compressor flow upstream of the impeller in the direction of the impeller.
