    Abstract: The present invention is directed to the use of certain pyrimidine derivatives for cosmetic purposes, i.e. for the preparation of a composition for providing a cosmetic effect. It was found that said pyrimidine derivatives are particularly useful for treating wrinkles but also for thickening the epidermis, for improving hair growth and for treating grey hair. The present invention is also directed to a composition containing said pyrimidine derivatives. In particular, said composition is a cosmetic preparation.
