Abstract: A method for providing digital product information about an appliance includes supporting by an ordering system an order process of the appliance, during which a buyer places an order for the appliance and accepts to receive digital product information about the appliance. In an assembling process or packaging process of the ordered appliance, the appliance or its packaging is provided with access information that indicates how to access the digital product information. The appliance can display the access information. A product information system supports accessing of the digital product information about the appliance by a buyer or product information recipient based on the access information. The product information system allows access to the digital product information via the Internet.
