Patent number: 8499711Abstract: A tow rope for a water ski which provides a manner to communicate a majority of the force from a tow rope engaged to a boat directly to the water ski during deep water starts by a skier. The force is transferred to a handle held by the skiers hands once the skier has reached a substantially standing position and is on top of the water. A quick release is provided which will disconnect the tow rope should the skier activate it or fall.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2011Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Inventors: Jared Strong, Marco Schilling

Publication number: 20040188339Abstract: A modular membrane filtration device is provided with replaceable membrane elements. The device is designed for ease of cleaning or replacing the membrane elements during filtration of a feed liquid to remove suspended solids. The cleaning may be effected by continuous aeration or by application of air as intermittent pressurized pulses. The device preferably has two headers, at least one of which is a permeate collection header having receptacles for a plurality of membrane elements, each of which is a potted hollow fiber membrane bundle. The potted hollow fiber membrane bundles are distinct entities which may be inserted into the receptacles, preferably in rows of circular slots, on the permeate collection header(s), and may be easily removed for maintenance, such as for replacement of the hollow fiber membrane elements.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2004Publication date: September 30, 2004Applicant: HydranauticsInventors: Pravin Murkute, Christopher G. Patent number: 4993424Abstract: A self-contained handheld infrared medical thermometer having an elongated probe that is reciprocably movable between a retracted position, located fully within the thermometer housing, and an extended position, located exterior to the housing. When extended, the probe is adapted for insertion into a patient's outer ear canal to measure the patient's body temperature. When the probe is retracted within the housing, a reference plate is pivoted in front of the probe, to facilitate calibration. Advancement of the probe to its extended, operative position automatically pivots the reference plate away from the advancing probe and, in addition, automatically advances a disposable protective cover from a container for a large number of such covers into a position where it automatically stretches over the advancing probe to provide hygienic protection.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1989Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: Diatek, IncorporatedInventors: Edward D.
