  • Patent number: 9309790
Abstract: A pressure accumulator for a camshaft phaser of an internal combustion engine, including a housing that accommodates a piston and forms a cavity fillable with a hydraulic fluid. The cavity is configured as a hole and is closed by a cover on at least one side so as to be fluid-tight, whereby the cover is fastened to the housing by a flanged connection. A method for the production of a pressure accumulator for a camshaft phaser, including a pressure accumulator that forms a cavity, whereby a piston is placed into the cavity, and subsequently, a cover is put in place over the cavity—sealing it off towards the outside—in such a way that a material portion of the housing or of the cover creates such a positive connection between the cover and the housing that the cover is affixed in its position relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 8590149
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a lift transmitting component (2), particularly for a gas exchange valve train or a fuel pump drive of an internal combustion engine (1), is provided, The lift transmitting component includes a housing (6), a bearing pin (7) fixed in a reception bore (9) of the housing (6) and a roller (8) mounted through a sliding or a rolling bearing on the bearing pin (7). The bearing pin is core-hardened over an entire axial length to a core hardness of at least 650 HV, and pin ends (10) of the core-hardened bearing pin are radially widened relative to the reception bore for enabling a connection of the bearing pin to the housing (6) through positive engagement. The hardness of the bearing pin is at the most 780 HV, the radial widening of one of the pin ends being realized with a shaping die (11) which travels axially parallel to the bearing pin (7) and applies a force to the pin end in a transition region between a periphery and a front end surface of the bearing pin.

  • Patent number: 8328157
Abstract: An electromagnetic hydraulic valve (1) is provided having a valve housing (2) with a pressurized hydraulic medium inlet channel (24), a pressurized hydraulic medium outlet channel (25), a magnet coil (3), and a valve seat (23), with a magnet armature (9) that can be excited by the magnet coil and a valve tappet (10, 10?) fixed on this armature. A valve-closing element (13) is activated by the valve tappet and that blocks the connection between the pressurized hydraulic medium channels for contact on the valve seat. The magnet armature with the valve tappet and the valve-closing element are guided so that they can move longitudinally in the valve housing and the valve tappet and the valve-closing element contact each other with facing longitudinal end sides (26, 27) in a way that is free from tensile forces.

  • Publication number: 20110209677
Abstract: A hydraulic assembly (1), particularly for an electrohydraulic valve control of an internal combustion engine, and a hydraulic valve (2) for forming such an assembly are provided. The assembly includes a hydraulic valve with a valve housing (4) and a valve carrier (3) with a valve receiver (5) in which the valve housing is received. The valve housing has a first circumferential groove (9) and a second circumferential groove (10), with the grooves (9 and 10) being defined respectively by groove walls (13, 15 and 14, 16) and extending on two sides of a hydraulic connection (6) which extends through a peripheral wall of the valve housing (4). A bead (11, 12) formed by a plastic deformation of material of the valve carrier being received in each of the two said grooves (9, 10), so that the groove walls and the beads not only fix the valve housing in the valve receiver by positive engagement but also cooperate with each other to hydraulically seal the valve housing.
