  • Patent number: 11906214
Abstract: A compressor comprises a suction port configured to receive a refrigerant and means for compressing the refrigerant. The means for compressing forms at least one compression chamber, a discharge port configured for discharging the compressed refrigerant from the compressor, and a motor. The means for compressing comprises at least one opening for extracting a portion of the refrigerant from the at least one compression chamber and supplying the extracted portion of the refrigerant to the motor. A method comprises receiving a refrigerant at a suction port of the compressor, compressing the refrigerant in at least one compression chamber formed by a means for compressing of the compressor, discharging the refrigerant from the compressor at a discharge port of the compressor, and extracting a portion of the refrigerant from the at least one compression chamber and supplying the extracted portion of the refrigerant to a motor of the compressor.

  • Publication number: 20190241379
Abstract: Method for transferring standardized containers between a container ship and a quay, using harbor cranes such as a gantry crane, wherein during the entire maneuver, the longitudinal axes of the containers are perpendicular to the edge of the quay. In order to carry out said method, two items are used: a container ship where the standardized containers are arranged with the longitudinal axes thereof orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the ship, and a harbor crane such as a gantry crane used to transfer standardized containers in a position such that the longitudinal axes thereof are orthogonal to the edge of the quay; this allows the gap between legs of the crane to be smaller than that of current cranes as said gap depends on the arrangement of the container as it passes therethrough; thus, a higher number of cranes can operate on the same ship of the same length.

  • Patent number: 5920609
Abstract: A metallic access test extension system architecture for a digital transmission system is provided. The digital transmission system includes a local end and a plurality of remote ends, each of said plurality of remote ends including a digital communication path and a metallic test pair connection. The local end includes a corresponding digital communication path and corresponding metallic pair connection. The architecture includes a remote unit coupled to each metallic test pair and digital communication path at each of said plurality of remote ends. The remote unit includes a metallic access test extension module. The architecture further includes a central office unit at the local end of the digital communication path, the local end unit including a metallic test extension module and a switch system, responsive to a control signal, for selectively connecting the digital communication paths and metallic test pairs at the local and to the metallic test extension module in the local end unit.

  • Patent number: 4663776
Abstract: A system for accessing a plurality of telephone wires which are two-wire, four-wire and six-wire circuits, including a common access test bus, a common control bus, a plurality of access shelves for connecting the circuits to the common access test bus, in which each access shelf is individually selectively controllable to connect the circuits to the common access test bus in response to control signals on the common control bus, and a test controller having a programmable data processor for selectively generating the control signals to individually control any one of the access shelves.
