    Abstract: An improved hair waving appliance is disclosed. The disclosed hair waving, appliance includes a pair of W-shaped arms that pivot in relation to one another in a scissors motion. One disclosed W-shaped arm comprises a center raised heater prong bounded by a trough portion on each side. The outer edges of each trough portion may include a curved lip to prevent undue damage to hair. Another W-shaped arm is disclosed comprising two raised heated prongs separated by a trough portion. The disclosed arms fit together to form an interstitial gap therebetween such that more even temperatures are provided over the entire surface of each arm. The disclosed prongs might be of a variety of cross sections, including ovoid and substantially circular. Further disclosed is a plurality of stand members protruding downwardly from the appliance for resting the appliance upon a substantially horizontal surface without causing any heat damage thereto.

    Abstract: A hair waving appliance has in one arm a pair of spaced electrically heated prongs extending from a handle and in another arm a third electrically heated prong with two troughs axially connected on opposite sides thereof extending from another handle. The arms are pivotably connected in a scissor-like manner and spring biased so that in squeezing the handles together the pair of prongs rest in the troughs and straddle the third prong.

    Abstract: A collapsible brush is provided with bristle members having bristles of varying length so that a curved top surface is provided to aid in the brushing of a woman's hair. Also provided is an extension which receives in sliding relationship a sliding handle for holding the collapsible brush. A cover when slid into a tracked recess engages the handle to propell it to an extended position. The sliding handle is provided on its lower surface with a mirror which is visible through an opening formed in the bottom wall of the extension when the sliding handle is in its inward or retracted position.
