  • Patent number: 5413148
Abstract: A stockinette member is formed of closely knit or woven threads. A netting arrangement is integrally formed with the stockinette member. The netting arrangement may either be knit in with the stockinette member or the strands of the netting arrangement may be laid in.

  • Patent number: 4133164
Abstract: The invention relates to a split horn arrangement for packaging meat in a stretchable netting material, and to a method of packaging the meat using the split horn arrangement. In accordance with the invention, the split horn arrangement includes an upper member with depending side walls which overlap and cover upwardly extending side walls of a lower member so as to form a tunnel for passing the meat through. Disposed on the depending side walls are longitudinally extending rails which lift the netting material stretched over them so that the threads of the netting can be caught by the teeth of a pulling block to load the netting on the horn. The rails can also act as guides for the pulling blocks when loading the netting on the front end of the split horn. The pulling blocks include rows of fingers which grasp the lateral threads of the netting to pull the netting onto the horn.

  • Patent number: 4112761
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for measuring and recording the changes in magnitude of a variable. The apparatus includes a recording stylus or pencil and a means for carrying a recording medium such as marking paper. The stylus or the means for carrying is connected to a transducer means which follows the changes in magnitude and provides an output to drive the stylus along the width of the paper in one direction when the magnitude is increasing and in the other direction when the magnitude is decreasing. In addition, either the stylus or the means for carrying the paper are connected to rotating means which rotate in one direction only and which are also driven by the output of the transducer. As the rotating means rotates in one direction only, the stylus will produce a straight line along the width of the paper when the output of the transducer is in one direction, and a straight line at an angle to the first line, when the output of the transducer is in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4036055
Abstract: This invention relates to a liquid level measuring and recording apparatus which includes a recording stylus or pencil and a means for retaining a record such as marking paper. The stylus is connected to a float means which follows the level of the liquid and drives the stylus along the width of the paper in one direction when the level is rising and in the other direction when the level is following. In addition, either the stylus or the paper are connected to rotating means which rotate in one direction only and which are also driven by the up and down movement of the float. As the rotating means rotates in one direction only, the stylus will produce a straight line along the width of the paper when the float is moving in the non-rotating direction, and a straight line at an angle to the first line, when the float is moving in the rotating direction.
