  • Patent number: 7649681
Abstract: A surgical microscope (1) includes a viewing unit (3) for viewing an object (5) and an image projection module (7) for inputting image data (9) into the viewing unit (3). The image projection module (7, 107, 207, 307) includes a plano-convex lens and a plano-concave lens. The image projection module (7, 107, 207, 307) includes an image display unit (11, 111, 211, 311).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 2001
Date of Patent: January 19, 2010
    Assignee: Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung
Inventors: Christoph Hauger, Ulrich Gold, Christian Lücke, Margit Krause-Bonte, Dirk L. Brunner, Martin Pelzer
  • Patent number: 6763259
Abstract: An OCT-supported surgical system includes an OCT module that includes a surface scanner, the position of which can be sensed by a position sensing unit, and an evaluation and display unit, which is connected to the OCT module and to the position sensing unit in order to be able to correlate a tissue-differentiated tomogram of a specimen sensed by the OCT module with preoperatively produced specimen data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 3, 2000
Date of Patent: July 13, 2004
    Assignee: Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung (DE)
Inventors: Christoph Hauger, Joachim Luber, Michael Kaschke, Margit Krause-Bonte
  • Patent number: 6741948
Abstract: A method is disclosed for fixing at least one location in an examination field (9) with respect to a coordinate system (13). The method includes determining, in response to a request (65), coordinates of a first location (59) as a first coordinate set (x, y, z) allocated to the first location (59). A first recording and a second recording of topological data (69) in a spatially extended area around the first location (59) in the examination field (9) are obtained. The first and second recordings are compared to determine a displacement (&Dgr;x, &Dgr;y, &Dgr;z) of the first location (59) of the examination field (9) with respect to the coordinate system (13), the coordinates of the first coordinate set (x, y, z) allocated to the first location (59) are changed dependent upon the determined displacement (&Dgr;x, &Dgr;y, &Dgr;z) such that the changed coordinates substantially correspond to the coordinates of the first location (59) in the examination field (9) after the displacement thereof.
