    Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising a processing unit adapted for executing a beam-alignment protocol based on a sequence of communication data-patterns, each associated with one of a sequence of alignment subcarrier-frequency slots. The protocol comprises receiving a plurality of receive information records, one from each of a plurality of wireless end devices and indicative of a plurality of signal qualities of the sequence of beam-alignment signals. Each beam alignment signal is received by the respective wireless end device in an alignment subcarrier-frequency-slot associated with the respective communication data-pattern associated with the beam-alignment signal. The protocol further comprises computing according to the plurality of receive information records a plurality of preferred communication channels, each for one of a plurality of wireless access points, and configuring the plurality of wireless access points according to the plurality of preferred communication channels.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mechanism enabling switching between different configuration for a positioning procedure to dynamically adapt the accuracy of the positioning procedure to the current requirements of client devices and/or environmental conditions. The switch may be initiated by a network node which can instruct a client device to deactivate positioning according to a first configuration and to activate positioning according to a second configuration. The network node can determine the second configuration based on e.g. position of client device, density of client devices, current position requirements per client device, network load, and/or available resources. Thereby, allowing the configuration for the positioning procedure to be adapted based on dynamic requirements on the positioning procedure.

The first radio node receives from the second radio node, feedback relating to the sent training symbols. A second beam is identified based on the feedback and is used for transmission. The received feedback and the second beam are used to adapt the beam prediction model. Further, the first radio node decides whether to adjust the number of beams in the first set of beams based on a relationship between the first and second beam. The adjusted first set of beams is to be used for sending training symbols before an upcoming communication.
