  • Publication number: 20240165587
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of microporous carbon materials to perform selective separations of nitrogen in gas mixtures such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, methane and C2, C3 and C4+ hydrocarbons, with high efficiency, shaped of microspheres or cylinders from copolymers of poly (vinylidene chloride-co-methyl acrylate) with density of 1.3 to 1.85 g/cm·sup·3 or poly (vinylidene chloride-co-vinyl chloride) with density of 1.3 to 1.85 g/cm.sup.3, using two stages. The first stage consists of a surface passivation of the material by chemical attack in a highly alkaline alcohol solution, with the aim of effecting a precarbonization on the surface of the copolymer that during the pyrolysis process is not deformed and gradually develops microporosity. The material of the first stage presents, in the layer, percentages between 55% to 85% carbon, between 5% to 20% oxygen, and between 10% to 40% chlorine.

  • Publication number: 20230005075
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining whether an electronic document constitutes vouching evidence is provided. The system may receive ERP item data and generate hypothesis data based thereon, and may receive electronic document data and extract ERP information therefrom. The system may then apply one or more models to compare the hypothesis data to the extracted ERP information to determine whether the electronic document constitutes vouching evidence for the ERP item. Systems and methods for verifying an assertion against a source document are provided. The system may receive first data indicating an unverified assertion and second data comprising a plurality of source documents. The system may apply one or more extraction models to extract a set of key data from the plurality of source documents and may apply one or more matching models to compare the first data to the set of key data to determine whether vouching criteria are met.

  • Publication number: 20230004604
Abstract: Systems and methods for automated document processing for use in AI-augmented auditing platforms are provided. A system for determining the composition of document bundles extracts substantive content information and metadata information from a document bundle and generates, based on the extracted information regarding a composition of the document bundle. A system for validating signatures in documents extracts data representing a spatial location for respective signatures and generates a confidence level for respective signatures, and determines, based on location and confidence level, whether signature criteria are met. A system for extracting information from documents applies a set of data conversion processing steps to a plurality received documents to generate structured data, and then applies a set of knowledge-based modeling processing steps to the structured data to generating output data extracted from the plurality of electronic documents.

  • Publication number: 20230004845
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing explainability for processing data through multiple layers are provided. An input layer is configured to receive an evidence data set comprising a plurality of evidence items, apply evidence processing models to the evidence data set to generate evidence understanding data, and generate input-layer explainability data, wherein the input-layer explainability data represents information about the processing of the evidence data set by the input layer. A presentation layer is configured to receive data (the evidence understanding data and/or data generated based on the evidence understanding data), apply one or more presentation generation models to the received data to generate presentation data, and generate presentation-layer explainability data for presentation to the user, wherein the presentation-layer explainability data represents information about the processing of the received data set by the presentation layer.

  • Patent number: 11065900
Abstract: Provided in one example herein is a method of printing. The method includes disposing onto a transfer paper an ink composition to form thereon an image, the ink composition including pigments and latex particulates. The method includes transferring the image from the imaged transfer paper onto a substrate comprising fabric by a lamination process. The lamination process includes: laminating together the substrate, the imaged transfer paper, and a release paper, whereby the image is transferred from the transfer paper onto the substrate.

  • Patent number: 10933100
Abstract: The present invention relates to the preparation of an extract of the crustacean Artemia salina and to the use thereof to treat diseases of the ocular surface. The invention describes the application of the extract mainly by means of soaps, eyedrops, eye solutions, eye washes, aerosols, in the presence of unguents, creams, gels or contact lenses, inter alia. The application of the Artemia salina extract is efficient for treating pathologies consistent with ocular dryness (dry eye) and the manifestations thereof such as the appearance of injuries or ulcers on the ocular surface or infections caused by microorganisms and associated with dry eye, also on of the ocular surface.

  • Publication number: 20080130023
Abstract: A method of generating a device color profile for printing, with a printing device, on a translucent or transparent media. It includes: printing a profiling target on the media; measuring color values produced by the profiling target, when illuminated in transmission and when illuminated in reflection, in a device-independent color space; combining the transmission and reflection color values into combined transmission-reflection color values and creating a combined transmission-reflection profile mapping color values from a device-dependent color space to the device-independent color space; reversing the combined transmission-reflection profile, thereby obtaining the device color profile. The device color profile maps color values from a device-independent color space to a device-dependent color space in a manner which represents a color-reproduction compromise between transmission and reflection.

  • Patent number: 6854907
Abstract: A method for substantially removing “roll-set curl” in a rolled print medium. Roll-set curl, as the name implies, may be defined as the “memory” a print medium has which causes the print medium to tend to return to the shape it had while on the core, once the print medium is unrolled. Additionally, a method for printing on both sides of a print medium in which a roll-set curl has been substantially removed. In one respect, according to a preferred embodiment, a take-up reel is utilized to substantially remove the roll-set curl.
