  • Patent number: 8282446
Abstract: The invention is based on a protective hood fastening device having a fastening element (12a-12n) for fastening a protective hood (14a-14n) which is intended for partly enclosing a rotating application tool on a body (16a-16n) of an electric tool (10a-10n). It is proposed that the fastening element (12a-12n) comprise at least one latching element (18a-18n) for locking the protective hood (14a-14n) against rotation relative to the body (16a-16n) of the electric tool (10a-10n).

  • Patent number: 7063606
Abstract: A portable power tool, in particular an angle grinder (10), includes a longitudinal housing (12) for accommodating a motor for driving a driven shaft (16) that is outwardly bent relative to the housing (12), the driven shaft being rotatably supported in a gearbox casing (14) and extending out of it with a free end that is provided to accommodate a sanding body. A protective cover (43) encompassing the sanding body is capable of being fastened on the gearbox casing (14) such that its rotation can be adjusted, and the rotational position of which is lockable using a notch lever (30). The device is made safer to operate and more cost effective to manufacture by the fact that the notch lever (30) is positioned transversely to the longitudinal axis of the angle grinder (10) and is pivotable around an axis (34) positioned substantially parallel to the housing (12).

  • Patent number: 6669544
Abstract: A protective hood (1) for a right-angle grinder having a tightening device, which has a tightening band (4) firmly connected to the protective hood (1) for a right-angle grinder, the two ends (5, 6) of the tightening band being embodied as a first and second eyelet (7, 8), so that they form a first and second abutment (9, 10) and can be connected to one another under tension by means of at least two tightening elements, the first tightening element being a tightening lever (2), which with its first end (15) can be supported in the first eyelet (7) pivotably about a first axis (9a) and which can be brought into a first position in which the tightening device is not tightened, and into a second position in which the tightening device is tightened, becomes capable of being produced at less expense with still high quality by providing that the second tightening element is a spring (3), which can be connected movably to the tightening lever (2), the spring (3) being pivotably supported about a second axis (11) in

  • Patent number: 6632128
Abstract: A power tool (10), in particular an angle grinder, having a housing (12) that receives an electric motor (21) and a gear (26), the motor (21) having a rotor (210) which is guided in rotor bearings (2100) and on one hand carries a collector (2102), which collector can be put into contact with a voltage source via carbon brushes (23) supported in brush plates, is made sturdier and easier to install in that the housing (12) comprises two longitudinally split housing shells (120, 121), and that the brush plates are part of a bearing bridge (24) that carries both the rotor bearing (2100) and the carbon brushes (23), and the bearing bridge (24), in the guide region of the carbon brushes (23), comprises plastic.
