  • Publication number: 20120295001
Abstract: An apparatus for preparing a beverage from water and an instant product includes a water supply system for supplying water, a heating device for sterilizing water by heating it; and a cooling device for cooling water heated in the heating device. The cooling device uses water from the water supply system as cooling-water. The water that is sterilized in the heating device has preferably previously been used in the cooling device as cooling-water. The cooling device includes a counter flow heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 8127662
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for preparing a beverage, for instance baby milk, from an instant product, such as formula, and water, which has been sterilized and cooled down to a temperature suitable for consumption. The apparatus comprises a water supply system for supplying water, a heating system for sterilizing the water, a cooling system for cooling down the sterilized water and a bypass, which allows sterilized water from the heating system to bypass the cooling system. Thanks to such configuration, hot water from the bypass can be added to cool water from the cooling system so as to bring the temperature of the cool water to a desired consumption temperature.

  • Publication number: 20100116362
Abstract: The control valve for release of gas from a pressurized vessel is a rubber valve with an opening therethrough, the rubber having such a Shore hardness and the valve having such a configuration relative to the size of the opening and the pressure of the gas in the vessel, that the mass flow of gas from the vessel is approximately constant as the gas exits from the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20090151574
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for preparing a beverage, for instance baby milk, from water and an instant product, for instance formula. The apparatus comprises a water supply system (2) for supplying water, a heating device (11) for sterilizing water by heating it; and a cooling device (10) for cooling water heated in the heating device (11). The cooling device uses water from the water supply system (2) as cooling-water. The water that is sterilized in the heating device (11), has preferably previously been used in the cooling device (11) as cooling-water. The cooling device (10) may comprise a counter flow heat exchanger.
