  • Patent number: 6443489
Abstract: In a retaining net arrangement the lower edge (16) of the retaining net (13) is fixed in the vehicle with two anchoring elements (24). To the anchoring elements (24) there belong two non-extensible tension elements which are held in the suspended state under a corresponding pre-stressing state by pre-stressing elements. An automatically acting clamping device leads both the pre-stressing forces for the tensioning of the retaining net into the car body (7) and also the increased forces which arise when an object is flung against the retaining net (13).

  • Patent number: 6422291
Abstract: A roll-up window blind (5) for automobile rear windows panes (4) has two actuating levers (9, 11) with which the pullrod (13) is moved in the direction of reeling-out or reeling-in of the blind material (12). The levers (9, 11) are borne in such manner that, in the reeled-out state, the pullrod (13) is pressed with a tension force against the rear window pane (4). In order to avoid any damage to the heating wires, the pullrod (13) is provided on its ends with guide elements (41), which are mounted movably on the pullrod (13). With the blind (5) reeled out, they project over the outer contour of the pullrod (13) and, as they themselves come to lie on the rear window pane (4), they hold the pullrod (13) at a distance from the rear window pane (4). On reeling-in they are retracted behind the outer contours of the pullrod (13), so that they can be retracted into the slot (7) from which the blind material emerges, and, namely, without recesses for the guide elements being necessary on the slot edges (22).

  • Publication number: 20020067047
Abstract: A protecting device for securing a storage space in the interior of a vehicle has a winding shaft associated, both in the pullout and in the rollup direction, with a control device which determines the rotations of the winding shaft as well as a selected protective position of the flat shaped article, and which, independently of the determined position, limits the pullout path for the flat shaped article to a length corresponding to the selected protective position, or releases it to be completely pulled out.

  • Publication number: 20020053407
Abstract: A separation device for a motor vehicle, with a flexible flat shaped article, which is held on a winding shaft located in a box housing between a rolled-in rest position and a pulled-out protective position which is rigidly connected to the vehicle with holding devices, in a manner so it can be rolled in and rolled out, where a return spring arrangement applies pressure in the roll-in direction onto the winding shaft. According to the invention, the return spring arrangement is formed by a series or parallel connection of a stronger wound spring and a weaker convenience spring, where the switching is designed in such a manner that, between the rolled-up rest position and a first pull-out position, the stronger roll-up force is applied, and, from the first pull-out position on, for a limited time, a smaller roll-up force is applied, for the transfer into the suspended protective position, and in that the wound spring is associated with a damping element.

  • Patent number: 6325436
Abstract: A cargo area divider for a motor vehicle has a flexible planar structure that is equipped in a front end region with a pull-out profile that has retaining elements for detachably securing the pull-out profile on vehicle-mounted retainers in a roof region of the motor vehicle. When the planar structure is in the pulled-out functional state, the retaining elements project upward beyond an upper edge of the pull-out profile; and the corresponding vehicle-mounted retainers are positioned, in order to receive the retaining elements, in a horizontal headliner region at a distance from lateral roof frame elements of the roof region of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6312036
Abstract: A hat holding piece piece (19) is composed of three sections, a middle section (31) and two corner pieces (32, 33) which are laterally hinged on the middle section (31). The corner pieces (32, 33) can be swung with the aid of the hinge so that in the region of the corner pieces (32, 33) the width of the hat holding piece (19) can be reduced by the swinging downward of these corner pieces (32, 33). In this manner the different clear width of the automobile body is taken into account, which as a rule is greater below the side windows than at a place located nearer to the roof. A cargo space covering has a molded part which likewise consists of three sections, a middle piece and two corner pieces. The corner pieces are likewise joined opposite hinges with the middle piece by means of hinges.

  • Patent number: 6279639
Abstract: A separating mechanism 13 is provided which includes a winding shaft 19 that is rotatably supported in a housing 14. A separating net 15 can be wound on the winding shaft 19 and can be stretched in the space between the housing 14 of the separating mechanism 13 and the roof lining of a passenger car. Since the winding shaft 19 generates a greater torque that the user must counteract with increasing draw-off of the separating net 15, a drive mechanism 18 is provided that provides that from a predetermined draw-out length onward the drive torque for the winding shaft 19 is switched to a reduced level. This switch-over is either brought about as a second, weaker drive spring 39 is activated, or as a second drive spring 93 is switched parallel to the drive spring 38 for the winding shaft 19. The two auxiliary springs 39, 93 operate, however, only over a limited turning range of the winding shaft 19.

  • Patent number: 6183028
Abstract: A safety net arrangement is provided with a load-indicating arrangement (25) in order to signal to the user that forces have acted on the safety net which possibly can lead to a prior damage. The load-indicating arrangement (25) cooperates with the anchoring members (21) with which the front edge of the safety net is to be anchored in the vehicle. For the load-indicating arrangement (25), the deformation of these anchoring members (21) is utilized in such manner that a deformation of the anchoring members (21), regardless of whether it is permanent or elastic, going beyond a certain measure blasts the signaling member (42) out of its rest position.

  • Patent number: 6125908
Abstract: A rolling cover has two end caps movable toward one another. The movability of the end caps toward one another and/or away from one another serves to make it possible to easily lock the rolling cover in corresponding vehicle-side receiving pockets or to remove the rolling cover therefrom. An actuating mechanism is present to which the two end caps are additionally joined. This actuating member permits the end caps to be moved in an ergonomically favorable manner by a single hand.
