  • Patent number: 10600633
Abstract: The present design includes a gas discharge lamp having a base, a closed top cylindrical envelope fixedly mounted to the base, the closed top cylindrical envelope comprising an integrally formed partition defining a pair of openings on opposite sides of the partition, and two electrodes positioned proximate the base, each electrode on an opposite side of the partition. Sides of the partition contact the closed top cylindrical envelope and the partition includes a notch formed proximate an upper edge of the partition thereby establishing an exclusive gas passageway between the pair of openings.

  • Patent number: 10481302
Abstract: A lens coating apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a mechanical arm configured to receive and maintain lenses in a desired orientation, a loading station configured to receive and maintain the lenses within the enclosed area, and a combined washing and drying station including a spraying mechanism that directs an upward spray toward a bottom surface of the lens, and blowing devices configured to direct air toward the lens after the lens has been washed. The coating apparatus includes a coating station where liquid coating is sprayed toward the bottom surface of the lens and a curing station where the coated lens is exposed to the UV energy radiation. A programmable controller controls the mechanical arm to collect the lens from the loading station without operator intervention, and move along a linear track between the loading station and the combined washing and drying, coating and curing stations.

  • Patent number: 9810815
Abstract: The present design includes a coating apparatus having a mechanical arm configured to receive and maintain a lens in a desired orientation, a coating station configured to coat the lens, a drying/curing station configured to dry the lens using radiant energy, and a programmable controller configured to control the mechanical arm to move along a linear track between the coating station and drying/curing station and expose the lens to the coating station for a coating procedure and the drying/curing station for a drying procedure for a predetermined amount of time. Other stations, such as a washing station and a loading station, may be provided.

  • Patent number: 4810924
Abstract: An improved gas discharge lamp having (i) a cylindrical quartz envelope with (ii) a flat circular disk magnesium fluoride window substantially transparent to short wavelength light at one end of the cylindrical envelope, (iii) two tungsten or molybdenum electrodes each of which is sheathed in a capillary tube, and (iv) a partition within the envelope and between the tube-sheathed electrodes which partition defines, in combination with the envelopes, a bore about each of the electrodes and its sheating tube. A gas discharge path between the electrodes produces bright light spots at the capillary tube orifices, at a region of the lamp proximate the window. The windowed quartz envelope is inexpensive to manufacture. The partition imparts strength and maintains the capillary tubes in precise alignment during manufacture. The tungsten or molybdenum electrodes support high currents providing high illumination.
