  • Publication number: 20220176332
Abstract: The present application relates to an apparatus and process for producing dimethyl carbonate, in particular a system (apparatus or process) for DMC synthesis without the need of using a dehydrating agent. More particularly, the feed mixture for the process can be selected from the following options: a) carbon monoxide, methanol and flue gas from the process, b) synthesis gas without CO2 and flue gas from the process, c) synthesis gas with CO2 and added synthesis gas from purified flue gas from the process. The process uses a catalyst cluster comprising a specific combination of different groups of heterogeneous catalysts wherein each group has a different function. Also the invention relates to an apparatus comprising a specific combination of heterogeneous catalysts for applying different routes to produce dimethyl carbonate from each feed mixture option, on continuous basis.

  • Patent number: 11013098
Abstract: The invention comprises a process for obtaining a gas from a fluid fuel and an oxidising fluid, said process comprising steps in which the incoming fluid is subjected to temperature, photocatalytic action and reaction with catalysts, all this within a device with a tubular structure which the incoming fluid circulates through in a spiral manner, between a fixed bed attached to the walls of the duct and a circulating bed with an ionised gas stream that occupies a central position of the duct, producing a gas obtained.

  • Patent number: 10106478
Abstract: A process by which the raw material, a gas comprising mainly hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, is introduced into a first reactor together with a catalyst, in which one or more reactions take place that produce methanol or dimethyl ether or both, which are then introduced into a second reactor adding oxygen and a catalyst and producing formaldehyde and a minority of dimethyl ether, and where there may be an excess of water, such water being extracted from the process and the remaining products being introduced into the third reactor with, optionally, an additive, and such raw material is exposed to catalysts and under an atmosphere at medium temperature and pressure, in order to produce three or four groups of chemical reactions that, after extracting most of the water that is generated as a residue during the process, produces as a result a liquid multifunctional product that can be used as a solvent, a foaming agent or an oxygenated fuel; said product, normally a fluid, comprises polyoxymethylen

  • Publication number: 20100064573
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for producing a liquid fuel or at least one of its primary components from carbonaceous material, wherein a concatenation of individual processes, which make up the entire method, are employed. The concatenation of processes employed in said novel method has the potential to provide an exothermic operation during the production of the liquid fuel, or the at least one primary component, thereby producing a portion of its own raw material, supplying the majority of its energy requirements and consuming the majority of its byproducts, which in turn reduces feedstock reactant requirements for said method.

  • Patent number: 7178608
Abstract: A while drilling system and method for determining downhole parameters is provided. The system includes a retrievable while drilling tool positionable in a downhole drilling tool, a sensor chassis and at least one sensor. The while drilling tool is positionable in the downhole drilling tool and has a first communication coupler at an end thereof. The sensor chassis is supported in the drilling tool. The sensor chassis has a second communication coupler at an end thereof for operative connection with the first communication coupler. The sensor is positioned in the chassis and is adapted to measure internal and/or external parameters of the drilling tool.
