Abstract: Several versions of a tooling plate clamp are disclosed. Each comprises a retainer pin a circular part of which extends outwardly from the face of the plate. An eccentric clamp body rotates on the circular part of the retainer pin and is held against the face of the plate, or against a spacer, by an overhanging head on the pin. The clamp body can be cylindrical to exert a lateral force on the workpiece or conical so that it exerts lateral and downward forces simultaneously. In one version, the clamp body has an edge which engages the workpiece along a narrow line of contact rather than over a wide area. The clamp body may also be a hold-down clamp with two oppositely directed helical overhanging surfaces.

Abstract: A press-fit drill bushing for use in metal tooling plates has a circular cylindrical shank, and a toothed crown with an annular groove between the shank and the crown. The ends of the teeth adjacent the groove are disposed at an angle between zero and five degrees positive so that they form chips which are automatically packed into the groove as the bushing is pressed into a tooling plate.

Abstract: This orthopedic appliance for correcting a wide variety of lower extremity deformities comprises: a bar which is scored so that it can be broken to provide a bar of a desired length; lockable articulated joints at both ends of the bar; releasable clips for rapidly attaching and detaching the articulated joints to and from the bottom of the patient's shoes; index markings allowing the articulated joints to be accurately adjusted and locked in the desired position; nesting extension attachments; and stabilizer rods for maintaining plantar or dorsi flexion and insuring that the device is not defeated by bending the knees.Included in the appliance is a lockable articulated joint utilizing a hollow spherical member clamped between a spherical socket and a spherical locking member.
