  • Patent number: 11707711
Abstract: A drying device for processing a gas to be dried, in particular air, comprises an air/air exchanger which includes an inlet for the gas to be dried and an outlet for the dried gas, an evaporator which receives the gas to be dried from the air/air exchanger, the evaporator being formed by means of a plurality of adjacent layers. The layers comprise at least a first layer configured for the passage of a refrigerating fluid, at least a second layer configured to receive the gas to be dried from the air/air exchanger and a plurality of third layers configured to receive a phase change material. The layers are arranged in a sequence which comprises in alternation a first layer, a third layer, a second layer and a further third layer.

  • Patent number: 10156371
Abstract: Apparatus for the cooling of a process fluid. The apparatus comprises a process fluid circuit along which there are provided in succession a compressor, a condenser, a first throttling member and an evaporator which can effect heat exchange with a fluid requiring treatment, and a regulating device. The regulating device includes an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, and a calibrated passage hole which provides further communication between the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber in addition to a main passage.

  • Patent number: 5228504
Abstract: A tube and fin heat exchanger having two adjacent fluid circuits through which compressed air and a refrigerant fluid flow so as to be in heat exchange relationship with respect to one another. In one embodiment, the areas between the tubes and fins of the heat exchanger are filled with a mass of moist material which ices and operates to accumulate energy to thereby transfer the energy when the refrigerant fluid is not circulated.
